[Ceylon cosplay] Summer Swimwear Photo Sharing of Island Vibe by the Pool

Shooting the swimsuit look for Ceylon from Arknights, the theme we chose this time is island-vibe summer swimwear. Every element revolves around coolness, brightness, and the character's own summer state of mind.

For clothing, a sapphire blue halter-neck knot swimsuit was selected; this high-saturation blue is very skin-brightening, and combined with the large bow design on the chest, it allows the neckline to present a natural V-shaped cut, visually elongating the neck and shoulder lines. The lower piece is paired with a pure white high-waisted short skirt; this classic color scheme of blue on top and white underneath resembles a burst of summer sea breeze. The brown belt and metal buckle tied around the waist serve both as a highlight to cinch the waist and add a sense of casual premium quality to the overall look. The white lace sheer outerwear draped over the outside retains texture details, producing very beautiful light spot shadows during backlit shooting.

The blue wing hair accessories on the headpiece possess high recognition, and paired with the pink twintails styling, they perfectly restore that slightly tsundere yet lively temperament. The large pearl necklace on the neck is even fuller of retro feel, complementing the pool vacation atmosphere beautifully.

The scene layout was set up with immense care: light blue mosaic tile flooring spreads out, paired with a white wooden slatted lounge chair bearing traces of time, and several rugged raw logs serving as prop stands. Tropical green plants reaching out from the corner, a white and yellow lifebuoy, and a massive white ruffled decorative umbrella nearby jointly construct a layered tropical pool environment.

In the shooting angle of Image 2, I deliberately held up that orange-yellow ice drink and reached it toward the lens. This movement is not just a supplement to the frame but an interaction that breaks the fourth wall, making people looking at the photo feel as if they can directly take over that cup of ice drink. To display the character's laziness and coziness, I chose a seated posture with one leg slightly extended, utilizing the extension of the wooden chair to outline the lines of the leg.

Since it's a swimsuit theme, being barefoot becomes an inevitability. The blue-green toe nail polish forms a low-saturation echo with the blue tiles on the ground; set off by the light skin texture, this detail allows people to feel the overall exquisite refinement. For the makeup, I requested the makeup artist to do subtraction as much as possible, using a clean, hydrated base makeup combined with light warm-toned eyeshadow to create a vibrant feeling under natural sunlight.

The shooting process was not easy; the temperature of the day combined with the continuous strong studio lights made it a bit hard to breathe. But to present that loose feel of a casual vacation in front of the lens, I had to restrain my anxious emotions. The photography guidance required me to place my focus heavily on the stretching of poses, preferring laziness over stiffness. Before every press of the shutter, I silently adjusted my breath in my heart. The visual center of gravity of this styling is actually not in complex decorations, but in using the most refreshing coordination and natural expressions to deliver the character's unique charm. Seeing those natural lights and shadows, translucent skin tones, and lightweight expressions in the final photos, I, who was complaining about sweating just now, instantly got energized. The whole process gave me a deep understanding of how hard it is to be a cosplayer, but more importantly, being able to freeze my understanding of the character through the lens under Cosplay photography.
