[Altria cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: Late Autumn Waterside Outdoor Photography Record

After stressing over styling the ahoge for over ten days, I finally decided to bite the bullet and head out for the shoot. Time flies since I first cosplayed this character back in 2017, but dealing with intricate wig styling still makes me scramble every single time. This shoot took place in Northeast China, where temperatures had dropped noticeably and the leaves by the wild waterside had turned completely yellow. Even with bright sunshine, the gusts of wind carried a piercing chill.

The location was chosen near a wooden waterside boardwalk and a pavilion. The wind made me shiver as I wore a modified white Chinese-style dress. The lace along the collar, traditional frog buttons, and sheer mesh on the chest were all quite thin, making the freezing wind harsh, but I endured it to faithfully recreate the character. The blue-and-white porcelain patterned oil-paper umbrella in my hand and the blue tassels on the outfit harmonized perfectly with the waterside scenery. During earlier close-ups, I deliberately managed my expressions—the heavy wind made my eyelashes uncomfortable, so controlling my facial muscles to look natural took conscious effort.

The subsequent wide shots were captured in a backlit setting. While the photographer worked along the shore, I took a look at the camera's viewfinder; sunlight reflected across the water surface, creating a hazy, glowing halo around the scene. Though the wind tousled my hair, that anxiety-inducing ahoge stood proudly atop my head. Under such lighting, the resulting shots carried an unexpectedly rich ambiance, intertwining cool serenity with warmth. This set documents an adventurous 2D daily life and Chinese style outdoor photography experience. Despite freezing hands and feet, I captured the styling prepped over several days and fulfilled an outdoor photography attempt I had wanted to try for a long time.
