Every step of this green-haired shrine maiden look, from makeup and styling to shooting, required careful control. After all, windy outdoor photography always comes with uncontrollable factors; for example, the skirt that looks flowing in the photos is actually the result of me trying hard to stabilize my center of gravity in the wind. The photographer was excellent at capturing snapshots, deliberately adding warm tones during backlighting to make the texture around the hair edges look extremely translucent. The makeup artist truly understands the balance between 2D and 3D worlds; the eye makeup was handled very delicately without any stiffness, making the character look more ethereal.

When wearing this shrine maiden outfit with long sleeves and a wide hem, the skirt easily gets covered in grass clippings when sitting down on the lawn to shoot, but I actually feel that the daily-life vibe brought by this natural lawn is much more vivid than a solid-colored studio backdrop. Holding talisman papers and a folding fan, I tried my best to restore the character's state, making me feel as if I were truly breathing the forest air together with the character. For Touhou Project players, being able to capture a lighting atmosphere with such a strong sense of ambiance is a very satisfying attempt.

Immersing myself in the swaying tree shadows, my mood and state gradually relaxed. When the wind was strong, the skirt hem and sleeves were completely out of control, yet they unexpectedly created dynamic tension. The material of the entire costume performed well under the lens, especially the details of the blue base with white polka dots and the white base with red cords, which carried the simple and ancient charm of a shrine maiden. Freezing these real moments is actually much more moving than staged poses. During the shooting process, to find the right light, we tried different angles in the grass. The spots of light filtering through the gaps beautifully enhanced the overall atmosphere of the frame. This outfit coordination highly integrates with the scene; the colors both collide and unify, and the messiness brought by the wind actually became a plus for the image, giving the static photos a sense of breathability.
