[Altria Caster cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Summer Castoria & Artoria Caster (Berserker) Convention Visual Log

On-site photoshoot record of Fate/Grand Order Altria Caster cosplay. This time we happened to bring together both Summer Castoria and Artoria Caster (Berserker) looks, shooting this combo set right at the anime convention. These two photos were among the best-conditioned shots from the duo session that day, so while these fresh convention photos are hot off the press, I'm sharing some outfit, makeup, prop insights and shooting thoughts.

The Summer Castoria look on the left primarily focused on a refreshing and lightweight vibe, choosing large areas of light blue and pure white in color palette. The light blue giant rabbit ears on her head were the soul of this costume—huge and eye-catching—making fellow fans constantly call out "rabbit" as we walked through the hall. The top featured an off-the-shoulder white blouse with ruffles, rich in details like a large light blue bow at the collar and matching buttons at the waist, with flared blue-and-white sleeve cuffs. Most distinctive was the Stocking outfit lower half with blue-and-white stripes and diamond argyle stitching over-the-knee socks, paired with platform white Mary Janes, looking remarkably clean and translucent in the frame.

The Artoria Caster (Berserker) look paired on the right was another style featuring black-and-white sailor uniform elements, a completely different route from the left. This outfit's wig utilized a side ponytail style, paired with a baseball cap with a white base and blue brim, instantly boosting athletic flair. The top was a crop top with a black-and-white color-blocked sailor collar over a black crisscross strap base layer, while the lower half was techwear-style black trousers with white lines and geometric paneling down the legs, finished with black platform sandals. One gentle and one tough, standing side by side at the convention produced strong visual contrast while remaining very harmonious overall.

The background location was a typical indoor exhibition hall featuring orderly arranged spotlights and industrial ceilings overhead. A few fellow cosplayers brought softboxes and reflective umbrellas, so we borrowed light for a few shots. For frame cleanliness in this set, post-processing only slightly adjusted color temperature and skin tone to maintain a cool translucent white complexion, striving to restore the original blue, black, and white colors of the garments. Both coordinated seamlessly during shooting: photo one featured an intimate half-body interaction leaning together with the left character holding hands naturally, making the image feel relaxed and effortless. Photo two captured a full-body dynamic pose, with the left person raising a finger in a playful "1" gesture while the right person turned sideways with open arms, appearing more relaxed and free-spirited.

Regarding wig handling, both wigs had plentiful hair density; to prevent frizz caused by convention winds or crowds bumping into us, we treated them with smoothing spray before heading out. Green contact lenses were very translucent, brightening overall complexion when paired with golden wigs. Makeup followed standard convention styles, focusing on eye contours and sculpting without over-pursuing flamboyance, prioritizing restoration of the character's innate freshness. There was a moment when reflective umbrella angles weren't adjusted well, but repositioning main light sources later made skin tones and garment highlights appear 3D. We later shot some studio photos, but these candid grabs of live lighting felt much more natural; recording candid moments during exhibition breaks carries more authentic lifestyle warmth than polished studio poses.

We chose this duo set because fellow cosplayers encouraged each other, feeling that combining these two styles would be deeply memorable. Preparation involved considerable effort in securing hats and headpieces—especially considering the center of gravity and wind resistance for the giant rabbit ears, adding two extra reinforcement points when pinning them. Shoe-wise, although the left Mary Janes had platform heels, walking through the convention all day was still tiring. The right athletic style was relatively better with loose trousers, making it easy to squat and adjust camera angles. Upon getting the costumes, ribbon ties and button decorations were pre-optimized for quick changes and adjustments on set. Even just capturing two or three casual snapshots on site revealed costume texture and character demeanor, fulfilling the core significance of doing this Altria Caster cosplay. The overall shooting atmosphere was relaxed and joyful without forced posing; pressing the shutter in such a relaxed state yielded results even better than imagined. Mutual coordination among photographers and logistics friends was also key to delivering these shots.
