[BB cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Red and Black Theme Witch Costume Styling Sharing

Coordinating this dark red BB cosplay styling took a long time, where the color clash among the hat, purple hair, and the red and black theme outfit was key. The large red and black hat has lettering along the brim, and the sheer lace top in front is paired with a black velvet skirt featuring a cutout waist design. Combined with elbow-length black gloves, black leg garters, and red high heels, the visual impact is striking. To embody the character, I deliberately chose a purple wig and purple contact lenses, while the makeup emphasized deep, defined eyes and bold red lip contrast.

The set on the day of the shoot was an indoor studio rich in Gothic style cosplay ambiance. The background featured large sweeps of red velvet fabric with red rose petals scattered across the floor. To create a dark and mysterious vibe, the photographer arranged numerous gold candelabras, skulls, silver chains, and a huge vintage gold-framed mirror around the set. Crimson spotlights served as the base lighting, with cool blue rim side-lighting added to create contrast.

The main challenge of posing in this witch costume was moving around; with a long skirt and high slit, alongside the red fabric and props, walking in high heels made it easy to trip, all while having to remain mindful of preventing wardrobe slips. Throughout the shoot, poses had to be adjusted constantly—such as sitting sideways on an elevated spot to elongate leg lines, or lying on the red velvet looking up at the lens. Since the thigh area had mosaic censoring, it shows how daring the poses were at the time, requiring me to push through initial hesitation to express that effortless, uninhibited demeanor. The photographer was extremely patient, guiding my hand placements and showing me how to use the texture of the gloves to caress the mirror frame and skulls.

For fans of Fate/Grand Order, the character of BB holds immense charm. Choosing to cosplay her this time was partly because the red and black theme suited the studio's lighting and shadows so well, and partly because this outfit tests body posture, making shooting angles vital. As an amateur part-time cosplayer, building such a complete scene together with friends took a lot of dedication. In hot weather, wearing long sleeves, tightly wrapped clothes, and a heavy wig made me sweat profusely. Fortunately, seeing the finished shots with that mystery woven from red and black made me immensely satisfied. This set of photos is more than just a cosplay record; it is my interpretation and tangible expression of the character's style, capturing subtle visual emotions unique to late-night hours. Sitting in the corner after the shoot, looking at the petals and candelabras covering the floor, I felt every bit of hard work over those hours was completely worth it.
