[Ereshkigal cosplay] Fate/Grand Order summer swimwear ascension form

The shooting theme this time is the swimwear ascension form of Ereshkigal from Fate/Grand Order. To recreate the coolness of a summer beach, a lot of effort went into the makeup and styling. The wig was chosen as a long blonde wig with natural slight waves, and the iconic red-and-black small crown accessory on top of the head was handmade and fixed using lightweight clay and hairpins, so it wouldn't easily fall off even during larger movements while shooting.

In terms of clothing, this blue-and-white color-blocked one-piece swimsuit looks simple, but actually has many details. The material of the white part on the upper body is relatively thick, which can nicely contour to the body shape; the blue ruffled design on the lower part is very lively, creating a wavy feel when walking. The blue bow neck choker is one of the visual centers of the entire look, and when tying it, attention must be paid to maintaining symmetry on both sides.

This studio shoot mainly used a pure white background paired with bright flat lighting, with the purpose of highlighting the subject's colors and skin texture. The first set of styling was paired with a gold metal birdcage and blue floral arrangements; holding the props actually tests balance quite a bit, requiring wrist exertion while keeping facial expressions relaxed and gaze focused. Ereshkigal carries a slightly introverted and melancholic temperament, so in eye expression, I intentionally restrained the smile and added a bit of a gazing feel.

The second set of styling added a straw hat decorated with colored flowers, and the poses leaned more towards summer laziness. The action of holding the hat brim can nicely flatter the shoulder and neck lines, and paired with a side-standing posture, it showcases the high-cut tailoring of the swimsuit and the leg lines. During the shooting process, the photographer kept guiding me to find the best reflection points for the light. Although studio shooting with a white background has a clean backdrop, it has very high demands on light-and-shadow layering; slight overexposure would lose the details of the clothing.

Actually, while preparing this cosplay, I repeatedly watched the card art in the game. Although complex background boards were not used this time, through the clever combination of props—such as the birdcage filled with blue faux flowers—the frame didn't appear too monotonous. The light blue flowers echoed the color of the swimsuit, looking exceptionally refreshing against the pure white background. To capture the dynamic of the swimsuit's ruffles during the shoot, I tried slow walking and turning movements. The temperature inside the studio was actually quite low, but because I kept mobilizing my physical state, I didn't feel cold at all.

In terms of makeup, to match the blonde hair, light brown was used to draw the eyebrows. The eye makeup enhanced the layering of false eyelashes, using eyeshadow with a slight reddish-brown tone to make the gaze look deeper. The base makeup chose a matte texture so the face wouldn't look oily under white light. I also put a little thought into my nails, applying a nude-colored nail polish to avoid looking too abrupt when holding props.

The entire shooting process went very smoothly, and the photographer was great at capturing natural moments. Instead of using overly exaggerated poses, emotions were conveyed through subtle body tilts and hand movements. The advantage of shooting against a white background is leaving all visual focus to the character itself, which places higher demands on expression management and body language. This was not only a cosplay attempt, but also a exercise in camera expressiveness. Overall, this attempt at Ereshkigal's swimwear cosplay added more lively summer elements while retaining the character's traits, and I hope everyone can feel this summer coolness.
