This Elysia cosplay look, along with the weapon prop, finally had its studio shoot completed this weekend. The two shooting sessions were for close-up details and overall display, respectively, and the resulting effects turned out quite aligned with my expectations.

Let's first chat about the texture of this costume. The top section uses white as the primary material, paired with dark gray and purple patchwork, with quite a bit of rigid golden edging along the borders to enhance its three-dimensional feel. The metal buckle and purple tassel ornament at the neckline are highly eye-catching details. The chest features dark shoulder pads with cross patterns. Compared to lightweight, soft fabrics, this costume leans more towards a tough, armored feel in its material texture, yet the overall tailoring still accommodates feminine agility. The gloves are made of dark leather, with a diamond-shaped metal badge on the back of the hand. During the shooting process, I found that this badge was indeed very photogenic.

Managing the lower half of the outfit also required quite some care, featuring black leggings and a layered skirt hem. What's most worth mentioning is the design of the feet—black high heels paired with stacked black plush decorations at the ankles make the overall standing posture look exceptionally well-coordinated during display, maintaining excellent tension whether half-squatting or standing.

Next, I have to talk about this special weapon prop. This time, I specially customized this exaggeratedly styled bow weapon, which has a very clear streamlined structure. The biggest highlight is the bright purple fluorescent glowing effect built into the weapon, with a blue glowing dot embedded right in the center. In the pure white environment of the studio, once the prop lights are turned on, the purple halo reflects directly onto my arms and the white clothes. The texture of this light source is incredibly dreamlike, acting as the soul-stirring embellishment of this full-length photo.

The makeup and hair this time were specially adapted to match the character's features. A pink wig with straight bangs, with the ends flipped outward. To make my facial features closer to the 2D anime aesthetic, I put on bright blue contact lenses. The eye makeup uses a blend of pink and a reddish blush, deepening the density of the eyeliner and eyelashes, which, combined with high-contrast studio lighting, makes the eyes look exceptionally bright and spirited.

In terms of the specific filming, the first close-up shot experimented with an exaggerated perspective angle. Leaning my body forward, my hand was placed in the extreme foreground of the lens for a blurred effect. Coupled with the pink ambient light hitting from the side, it creates a powerful visual impact, emphasizing the gaze and hairstyle details. The second photo is a complete full-length shot, utilizing a high-key pure white background while standing on a white circular display platform. This pose and angle beautifully display the costume details, layered combinations, and the size of the weapon completely. Throughout the entire shoot, the weight of the weapon was indeed a slight physical challenge, but being able to present this kind of effect in the frame made it all worthwhile. Whether for outdoor locations or studio lighting camera operations, every roleplay session accumulates experience. This final output can be considered a milestone for myself, and I hope future cosplay works can bring more characters rich in details to everyone.
