Getting straight to the point. This ancient architecture outdoor photoshoot chose magnolia flowers as the background, paired with this pink-and-white Chinese style custom design outfit, and the final photos turned out even better than expected. Elysia's own color keynote is pink, so I naturally aligned with this trait when selecting this costume. The lightweight pink yarn and white lining, along with a small standing collar and exquisite handmade embroidery, present a gentle yet lively look.

Compared to directly replicating the game settings, the advantage of playing a custom design is that I can freely match my favorite Chinese style elements. For example, this combination of a standing collar and frog buttons retains the dignity of traditional Chinese clothing while using this lightweight spinning yarn fabric, making the lines very clean and sharp when the skirt and wide sleeves flutter in the wind, even giving a feeling of smudged ink in an ink-wash painting. Many people think pink is hard to pull off in ancient architecture, but as long as the color tones are unified, a clear and translucent sense of contrast can be captured through light and shadow control.

The photographer paid close attention to utilizing the environment during the shoot, and those blooming magnolia flowers happened to form a wonderful natural frame in the image for this magnolia photoshoot. To achieve better interaction between the character and the scene, I intentionally added elf ears props paired with purple contact lenses, hoping to bring out a bit of a non-human fantasy atmosphere. When that waist-length light pink hair fluttered in the wind into several fine strands, the lens capture was highly professional. These flying hair strands added a lot of dynamic breathing room to the entire photo.

The folding fan I held in my hand was a small detail of the coordination. This kind of prop doesn't need to be intentionally manipulated; just holding it naturally gives off a composed and elegant feeling. The sleeves of this outfit are a combination of large sleeves and semi-transparent thin yarn. When the wind blows it up, the yarn material reflects a soft luster, even with a bit of a pearlescent effect, looking exceptionally translucent under natural light. There are light-colored flower embroideries on the collar and cuffs of the costume, and these details are very clear in close-up shots, adding a lot of refinement to the whole dress.

Actually, shooting this kind of dynamic photos is a real test of the photographer's skills, because they not only need to ensure sharp focus on the character but also have to catch the exact moment the wind blows up the hair and sleeve hems. The photographer Chao Fangbianmian was highly precise with the capture timing; without intentionally forcing any poses, they captured that casual, stretched beauty in a natural state. I really like this documentary-style cosplay images, which don't require too much post-processing modification, where everything unfolds naturally around the character and the scene.

During the shooting process, I actually encountered quite a lot of glances from passersby, but when immersed in this character, external distractions would instead be weakened, allowing me to focus more on how to blend my posture, gaze, and emotions with the background. The architecture itself has relatively high color saturation—vermilion pillars and lacquered blue paintings—and the use of these large color blocks serves as an excellent complement to the color of the character's costume.

Regarding the post-processing thoughts, I mainly unified the overall color tone, adjusting the frame towards a slightly softer and cleaner direction, trying my best to preserve the translucency of the yarn fabric and the texture of the skin without doing too much color amplification, emphasizing a natural sense of atmosphere. Although it's a custom design, I also hope to retain the character's original approachability and that carefree feeling to the greatest extent.

Great photography works are often inseparable from good weather and team coordination. This time, the lighting was just right, the breeze was just right, and the shooting pace was also just right. I feel that presenting such a natural state is a very ideal outcome. When selecting photos after editing, I did hesitate for a bit, but these few posted eventually are quite representative of my state of mind during this outdoor photoshoot. A satisfying photoset can keep one's mood great for a long time.
