Putting on this Wuthering Waves Denia costume and standing in the set up scene felt like entering another space. The costume details for this shoot were extremely complex, featuring a white top paired with a black corset, and a skirt hem made of multi-layered splicing in black, white, and blue. The sleeves are wide bell-shaped ones in alternating pink and white, with golden tassels along the edges, creating a great sense of layering when moving. To restore this gorgeous feel, the fabric took quite a while to select; the ruffles on the lining were sewn on piece by piece, and the small decorations on the skirt hem also needed to be fixed by hand to present the best three-dimensional effect in front of the lens.

The wig transitions from silver-white to light blue, with a slightly wavy treatment at the hair ends, and a lot of time was spent combing and styling it. The headwear includes a black patterned crown and a bow with a blue gemstone. When wearing it, the angles needed to be adjusted repeatedly to ensure it was securely fixed from all viewing angles. To highlight the anime-style feel, the makeup utilized blue contact lenses, eye makeup with a touch of red blending, and a relatively vibrant lip color. The superposition of these details allowed the facial features to have more contour under strong light, matching the character's original setting.

The staff in hand was a major project. The crescent moon shape and star decorations at the top needed to be made very delicately, embedded with blue gemstones. To give it a metallic texture, coloring and polishing took quite a bit of time, and the silver parts were specially treated to prevent excessive reflection. In addition, the birdcage and flower bouquet used for the shoot were carefully selected props; the size and pattern of the birdcage matched the overall style, while the bouquet was chosen in alternating white and green to avoid overly cluttered colors. Combined with the angel statue and picture frames in the scene, the entire atmospheric vibe came to life.

Lighting is truly crucial during studio shoots. Pink and purple ambient lights were used this time to set the mood, with the main light source softly illuminating the character's face and costume, and reflective material on the ground reflecting soft light. In terms of set design, the white angel statue, cross, and picture frames in the background were specially selected to match the overall sacred yet dreamy atmosphere. White and pink flowers filled the surroundings, and even the ground material was chosen for its reflectivity, which enhances the atmospheric vibe when lit and helps the character stand out against the complex background without making the frame look crowded.

During the shooting process, to make the shapes of the skirt hem and sleeves look better, poses had to be constantly adjusted, and when sitting down, attention had to be paid to the leg lines and the balance of the overall composition. Because the skirt hem has many layers, sitting down required arranging the fabric into a fluffy look without appearing bulky. Different postures holding the staff and birdcage were also tried many times to find an angle that was both natural and showcased prop details. Walking back and forth in platform shoes while posing was a bit tiring, but seeing the effect of light and shadow falling on the clothing folds in the final photos made everything feel worth it.

Denia's character temperament is quite special, and during the shoot, I tried my best to capture that quiet, mysterious state. This shoot was not only a display of costumes and props, but also an attempt at expressing the character's emotions. Judging from the raw photos straight out of the studio, the overall tone and light and shadow achieved the expected effect, and the costume details stand up to close inspection.
