[Astra Yao Cosplay] New Eridu's Magical Night in Zenless Zone Zero, High-Accuracy Location Shoot

Good evening, New Eridu! This line truly fits the atmosphere of this shoot. On April 29th, we did a rather challenging Astra Yao cosplay location shoot, and now the final cuts are finally processed.

This time, the outfit on me has numerous details. The black-and-white color clashing combined with the patent leather material gives the overall look an exceptional texture. The black glossy tight corset of the upper body not only cinches the waist perfectly but is also paired with metal rings and star decorations. The design of the sleeves consists of separated white trumpet sleeves with ruffles and bowknots on the edges. Combined with the deep blue striped bow tie at the neckline and strands of pearl necklaces, it fully maximizes that gorgeous yet slightly fantastical magical girl feeling.

The lower body is a multi-layered black pleated miniskirt with white lace piping, which looks unexpectedly leg-lengthening. For the legs, I paired it with leg rings featuring pearl strands, matching the heavy-duty thick-soled black high heels. This pair of shoes has a very high platform; although standing for a long time during the location shoot gets a bit tiring, the on-camera effect is truly amazing, not only elongating the leg proportions but also enhancing the heavy feel of the overall styling.

Collaborating with photographer Xianyu this time was highly delightful. We mainly chose to shoot at night, utilizing the warm yellow hanging tree light strings on the city streets to create that highly dreamy out-of-focus bokeh background. Low-light environments at night actually test the lens quality quite a bit, but the separation between the halo and the character in the final cuts is beautifully done. The first image is a full-body dynamic snapshot—standing on one leg while maintaining balance and showcasing the staff's texture, which poses a certain challenge to core strength. The high kick indoors in the fifth picture aimed to capture a playful and vibrant feeling, requiring several angles to catch the absolute best frame.

Regarding the props, this metallic-textured staff carries quite a bit of weight; the long shaft with a disc-shaped top structure and a silver core in the center needs to be held with one or both hands in many pictures, requiring natural postures coordinated with the movements. Avoiding looking awkward truly requires practice. For the photo sitting on the grass, I directly placed this heavy staff to the side, and my whole self instantly became relaxed.

I made specific adjustments to the wig part; this look features black hair paired with a white wide headband. The length of the bangs and the long sideburns on both sides were intentionally trimmed to fit my face shape, which contours the facial features beautifully. For the makeup, I also preserved the design emphasizing the eye contours and the red lip makeup, which looks spirited under the dark night light without appearing overly exaggerated, bringing out a classic 2D charm.

This location shoot actually ran across several scenes, from a metropolitan high platform with glass railings to a green path surrounded by trees under the night curtain, and finally to a low-light indoor venue. Presenting the same character across different atmospheres requires thorough preparation to make the character more vivid. I consider myself to have done my absolute best regarding the costume's accuracy and the richness of movements, hoping this set of work allows everyone to feel Astra Yao's confident and energetic aura.
