[Arlecchino cosplay] The Lazy Afternoon of a Genshin Impact Pajama Party - Image 1

A group photoshoot of a female Fatui Harbingers pajama party, completing this Genshin Impact-themed offline team-building shoot in Nanchang. Although I could have cosplayed any character this time, everyone ultimately decided on Arlecchino, Sandrone, Columbina, and Rosalyne. Dressed in carefully matched loungewear pajamas, we curled up on a red velvet sofa. To make the atmosphere of this "home party" more authentic, we set up a warm-toned venue in advance, spreading out a patterned rug. The coffee table was adorned with a white cream cake, a teapot, and several plates of nuts and snacks. The overall lighting was tuned to a lazy, dusky afternoon glow, completely devoid of that heavy studio-shoot feel.

The biggest challenge of this shoot was the casual transformation of the characters' temperaments. Normally, these characters each have their own sharp edges in the game, but after changing into pajamas, they needed to project a sense of relaxation instead. The character on the left side of the frame sits casually with small props, the one in the middle is upright yet soft, the one on the right sofa is simply half-reclining to rest, while the character crouching to the side stares at the cake on the table, looking as if she might reach out for it the next second. During the lighting breaks, everyone would take a few sips of the freshly brewed tea on the table; this shooting process felt more like a weekend chat party among sisters rather than a rigid work assignment.

Choosing Nanchang to complete this group shoot was because we found many suitable vintage-style indoor venues here. For this kind of Genshin Impact cosplay group shoot, the focus is not on how large the range of motion is, but on whether the auras between the characters harmonize. Even if we are just sitting quietly, or have no direct eye contact with each other, that vibe of gathering together, undisturbed yet accompanying one another, already captures the true essence of this "pajama party."

The shoot that day lasted from afternoon until evening, capturing quite a few different angles of the scene. The post-processing of this set also tried to retain the natural domestic feel of the original shots as much as possible, avoiding excessive skin smoothing or hue adjustments, striving to make the characters' home life in a "parallel universe" look highly immersive. The details of the fruit platters and small forks prepared by the prop team were highly on point; when we cosplayers received these props, it became much easier to slip into that state of chatting while sharing delicious food. The team coordinated with tacit understanding, knowing which direction to adjust our positions without needing many words. The final imagery not only restored the fundamental traits of the characters but also endowed the set with the unique vitality of a pajama party. Through integrations like Arlecchino cosplay, Sandrone Cosplay, Columbina Cosplay, and Rosalyne cosplay, the project came together beautifully.
