Standing over this clear, deep blue water, dressed in a white-and-blue battle dress and holding a long sword emanating a warm golden glow, I completed this set of Genshin Impact Lumine cosplay photos. Although I felt a bit apprehensive before the shoot, worrying that the mesh along the poolside might dirty the costume, stepping into the interplay of natural light and shimmering water rippling unexpectedly calmed me down. Just as written in the post description: don't be sad—right now, I simply want to fully convey this serenity captured by the water's edge through the lens.

The core part of this styling was the light golden short hair. To recreate the hair's airy feel, I spent a lot of effort working on the wig, keeping it fluffy without looking messy. Two white flowers tucked into the hair strands injected a soft, gentle vibe into an otherwise slightly heroic character. For makeup, I opted for doll-like Anime-style makeup and styling—clear base makeup paired with elongated eyeliner and naturally curled lashes, combined with pinkish-brown contact lenses to make the gaze look softer and more focused. The clear blue water reflecting in my eyes perfectly echoed the cool-toned yet bright atmosphere.

Regarding the costume, this Lumine outfit packs tons of design details. The primary white tone combined with light blue and pale gold metallic accents exhibits fantastic dimension under the sunlight. What satisfied me most were the semi-transparent light blue ribbons at the skirt hem; though easily wet when moving near water, these sheer materials gave the frame a dynamic, flowing feel. The white arm guards and black fingerless gloves worn on the arms are parts I really love, adding visual depth while fitting the character lore when holding props. The white boots, with a subtle metallic sheen at the toes, beautifully elongated the visual proportions of my legs while posing on the mesh.

As for props, this glowing prop sword's illumination effect was super eye-catching. Instead of ordinary reflective materials, the blade built in LED lights that manifested a brilliant golden glow even under natural daylight. To convey the character's effortless sword-holding feel, I deliberately relaxed my wrist tension, resting the blade diagonally across my front; paired with a lazy seated posture, it just right showcased the Traveler's calm, unhurried, and easygoing unique charm.

The shoot location was a distinctive pool where the bottom faintly loomed beneath the water, adorned with a few floating fallen leaves and a leisurely little crab. These accidental natural elements actually brought vivid life to the imagery. Because the mesh was hexagonally woven and adjacent to the water, I had to balance my center of gravity carefully while seated to prevent breaking the thin cords or slipping. However, this slightly risky setting unexpectedly made my expression sharper and calmer—without intentional acting, that cool serenity belonging to the character flowed out naturally.

To make the shooting angles more dynamic, the photographer adopted a high-angle overhead shot. Looking down from above not only captured the expansive pool in full, but also framed the character's silhouette to look delicately petite. During shooting, we relied primarily on natural lighting without adding complex light setups. This clean, clear Japanese-style Poolside photography approach let the character dissolve seamlessly into the environment, yielding a breathably organic frame without needing excessive post-processing.

This is probably where the magic of cosplay lies. It's far more than just donning clothes and wearing a wig; more importantly, it's tuning one's emotions to resonate at the exact same frequency as the character. In this transient moment, I experienced her unhurried grace when pausing during her travels across another world to take in the mountains and rivers. Although overall planning took only an afternoon, the final photos turned out far better than expected. I hope this photo set not only faithfully recreates the character herself, but also brings everyone who sees it a cool, tranquil mood as refreshing as the pool water.
