[Arlecchino Cosplay] The Fatui's Family Feast, Frozen Before the Clock of Fontaine - Image 1

On Arlecchino's birthday, instead of fooling around in the livestream room, we turned the selfie studio of Miyou Miaomiaowu into a temporary living room for the Fatui. A family portrait is the birthday gift prepared by our Genshin Impact cosplay team for this Harbinger.

Appearing in the shoot are several resident cosplayers from our studio: I'm Arlecchino, Xiao Cheng is Lyney, Yan Yan is Lynette, and Aki is Freminet. Bringing the four of us together definitely required a bit of luck, but more importantly, everyone has their own understanding of these characters rather than simply slipping into the clothes and starting the shoot.

This time we didn't intentionally strike a combative stance, but instead chose this rather everyday yet character-accurate positioning. Arlecchino's dark eye makeup and eye details, paired with the wig, took me about half an hour to adjust back and forth just to anchor the overall aura of the frame. Meanwhile, the bright color palette of the other three's costumes perfectly neutralized the overall composition. The silencing hand gesture in the front row of the image was actually a spontaneous idea; when Arlecchino usually faces these family members, it should be this wordless sense of control, and this natural flow feels much more authentic than staged poses.

Let's talk about the scene arrangement. The red velvet backdrop paired with the gear clock and golden picture frames, plus the warm light of the crystal candlesticks, actually gave the site an even stronger theatrical stage feel than it looks in the photos. We avoided assembly-line photography and deliberately adjusted the lighting to create the layers of a stage play. Many people often overlook the compatibility between background elements and characters when shooting Genshin Impact cosplay, but as a selfie studio specializing in Cosplay photography, we know deep down that costumes, makeup, props, and lighting determine the upper limit of a photo's texture. Especially when handling a setting like the Fatui that heavily blends classical and modern styles, it is even more necessary to give sufficient narrative background in the environment construction.

During the shooting process, the four of us actually joked a lot with the phrase "leave your brain behind when shooting an official set," but in actual practice, from the tailoring of the clothes and the smoothness of the wigs to the edge treatments of boots and gloves, every detail required the staff to process in advance. Although this birthday celebration initiative was an internal project for our staff's amusement, we prepared the props and gear entirely according to official photoshoot specifications to ensure that every single raw shot stands up to scrutiny.

As a part-time cosplayer at a selfie studio, I rarely get the chance to gather so completely with my colleagues from the studio. Today's lineup can be considered a demonstration of our own professional capabilities. This feeling of tacit cooperation in front of the lens is far more comfortable than striking poses all by oneself. Although Lyney and Lynette have vastly different personalities in their settings, the four of us standing together delivers a powerful visual impact of "a family should always be whole and complete."

Last but not least, although today is Arlecchino's birthday, I hope the character's aura in this set of photos can continue indefinitely. It's not just about celebrating a birthday, but also a test of our service quality. After seeing the final image, I feel more and more that if you want to ground the traits of the original game characters into reality, treating every single process with seriousness is the best shortcut.
