[Amiya cosplay] The energetic bunny in Arknights, capturing these jumping moments

This shoot features the White Rabbit Creamy Candy collaboration look for Amiya from Arknights. The costume restores that iconic blue and white checkered dress and white ruffled apron. In the overall makeup and hair planning, I intentionally kept a clean and natural base, aiming to maintain a translucent and clean texture on the face even under harsh outdoor highlights and backlit environments. The hair section features the iconic side hair accessory paired with twintails, along with that pair of long rabbit ears, instantly bringing up the character's recognizability and cuteness.

In the arrangement of outdoor movements, the starting point for this set of photos was to express Amiya's full-of-energy, unconstrained liveliness. To break the monotony of conventional standing poses, we prepared that giant soft White Rabbit Creamy Candy prop. The prop is not only a visual memory point but also an important medium for interaction. When shooting jumping and throwing movements, I used it to guide the photographer's vision, creating a strong sense of motion in the frame through arm extensions and body tilts. Especially that capture of being airborne actually required highly accurate jump timing and instantaneous muscle control. The intervention of a low-angle wide lens visually stretched the lines of both legs, while perfectly showcasing the fluttering skirt hem and the sense of maidenhood.

Regarding the choice of light and environment, we intentionally shot during the late afternoon time slot close to evening. The light during this period is relatively soft and carries warmth. The sun filtered through the metal architectural skeleton above, outlining highly layered rim light along the edges of the hair, rabbit ears, and skirt hem. This kind of backlighting, coordinated with the reflections from the crosswalk and the road surface, gave the figure a note of agility breaking out of the picture frame. The background was selected under a steel-structured modern overpass. This urban geometric background filled with techwear vibe and rigid lines formed a just-right contrast with the character's own soft and cute rabbit ears and checkered skirt, being both down-to-earth without destroying the unique dreamlike keynote of the anime world.

During the actual process of outputting photos, repeated jumping was indeed highly physically exhausting. Achieving a natural expression in mid-air, a moderate skirt flutter amplitude, and proper prop placement required a high level of tacit understanding between the model and the photographer during this session of Cosplay photography. But if we consider this like a convention outdoor photoshoot experience, whenever I see that captured moment on the screen, all the fatigue is instantly wiped away. The set of sitting poses was completed on the curb, with both legs naturally extended forward combined with a playful head-touch, which is a rhythmic tempo change switching to a relaxed atmosphere after intense movements. Overall, this set of photos did not intentionally pursue a cold or glamorous texture, but was more of a natural流露 of the character's own lively, active, and highly approachable nature in a daily life scene. I hope to use these real moments to restore the kind of next-door-girl friendliness and vitality she brings to everyone.
