[Blanc: White Rabbit cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke

Shooting this Blanc: White Rabbit cosplay went much smoother than anticipated. The black-and-gold palette of this costume exudes high-end quality. Paired with a silver-white wig, black ribbon bows, and golden dragon horns on the crown, the detailing is exceptionally rich; securing and styling the headdress alone took considerable time. The sheer tulle across the chest and the oversized bow at the waist are structured and crisp, supporting the silhouette impeccably. Styled with Black stockings, the legs revealed smooth lines and a gorgeous specular sheen under the studio lights.

The set was designed as a Japanese style wooden veranda lined with smooth pebbles beneath, framed by wisteria blossoms, red maple foliage, and a crane-motif paper parasol. These mellow, gentle environmental tones never competed with the subject, instead accentuating the costume's nuances. Because studio lighting that day was quite intense—especially the sidelight, which easily produced broad reflections on black fabric and stockings—we invested considerable care into calibrating my stance and leg angles. Crossing my legs while seated on the wooden porch or turning slightly to brush my hair guided the highlights onto the curved contours of the legs, visually elongating their profile.

For gear, the photographer used a Fuji X-S10 paired with a 27mm f/1.2 lens. This focal length suited both half-body portraits and full-body framing seamlessly; background bamboo blinds and faux trees melted into creamy bokeh that made the subject pop. Photographer Niu Niu shared preview frames during the shoot, guiding me to make real-time refinements based on image feedback. In the shots holding the folding fan, its gold patterns echoed the metallic embroidery on the dress flawlessly, elevating the tactile finish. While the finger-heart gesture looked simple, locking a direct, sweet gaze with the lens required around twenty to thirty takes before selecting the ideal keeper.

The styling seamlessly incorporates Japanese style elements: the black foundation imparts an air of mystique, while the Black stockings cosplay and sheer bodice cutouts introduce alluring charm. The shoot lasted around half a day, cycling through numerous poses; though tiring, it was an immensely rewarding creative experience. The tailored fit avoided wardrobe malfunctions, letting me pose with complete confidence. I am deeply pleased with this portrayal, which faithfully captured the character's core essence.
