I've always wanted to shoot a set capturing classroom daily life, and this time we finally gathered everyone from the Remedial Club. Taking advantage of a sunny weekend, we put the reserved classroom venue to good use. Although the students in Blue Archive frequently encounter all sorts of chaotic situations in the game, bringing this theme into reality is all about capturing that relaxed, subtly fairy-tale atmosphere.

Honestly, the costumes, makeup, and props for this shoot tested our patience. First was the halo and wings that everyone wears—while they look ethereal in the photos, fixing them in place took plenty of fine wire and transparent acrylic supports. Especially for the two characters with pink and silver-white hair, ensuring the halos overhead and wings behind maintained a natural floating effect on camera required endless angle adjustments. But seeing the final results, all the hard work proved worthwhile. Styling the wigs also took considerable effort; with four distinct hair colors—pink-white, silver-grey, pure blonde, and more—we dedicated immense attention to trimming and styling sprays to capture that anime texture.

For the location, to recreate an authentic everyday mood, we bypassed plain studio backdrops in favor of an authentic classroom with wooden desks and chairs. Entering the classroom, what delighted us most was the blackboard. Before shooting, we spent 40 minutes using chalk to hand-draw chibi sketches of the four characters, matching their respective hairstyles and outfit colors. Realistic styles can sometimes feel too rigid; instead, these doodle-like illustrations fit our relaxed, spontaneous presence in the classroom much better.

During the shoot, we designed several states to piece together a day on campus. For instance, two of the girls—one fast asleep slumped over the desk, while the other diligently worked on an exam paper. We then shifted positions to stand before the podium and interact with the blackboard, striking cute peace signs and relaxed standing poses as the camera instantly captured that youthful vitality. As cosplayers, true dedication means embodying the character's spirit and essence in a specific context, rather than just standing around posing arbitrarily. We deliberately simulated an authentic classroom scene, incorporating water bottles, zippered schoolbags, pencils, and notebooks on the desks to align with the Remedial Club setting in every detail.

For styling, we tested several combinations: alongside the classic white-and-blue sailor suit, there were off-the-shoulder black-and-white paneled tops. Collar ribbons and bows in distinct colors like vibrant yellow and pink differentiated the characters. In lower-body styling, most characters wore black tights or over-the-knee socks in a Black stockings cosplay look to add depth; black stockings not only provide a slimming visual effect that balances overall body contours, but also enhance the authenticity of daily student life.

The overall shooting pace was comfortable, with great chemistry among everyone. When tired, we could sit on the chairs to rest and let the photographer capture our candid moments—like crouching before a desk leaning against the backrest, or two of us squeezing onto one chair. These unforced micro-actions filled the photos with vibrant energy. In post-processing, I preserved the raw colors and avoided pushing saturation too hard, maintaining a clean, translucent palette to accentuate the natural texture of classroom light and shadows.

Cosplaying this Remedial Club daily life series was not only about completing a photoshoot, but also a joyful reunion with friends—helping each other adjust wigs and halos felt like attending a long-lost art class together. Given the chance in the future, we'd love to explore more varied scene combinations to build even richer visual memories for this Blue Archive cosplay. Perhaps the true fulfillment of shooting this set was hidden right between those classroom desks.
