Preparing for this shoot of Blanc: White Rabbit took quite a while to fit the theme of the Fan Content Festival. The outfit features a black-and-gold color palette overall; the black fabric has a subtle jacquard pattern with a refined luster, and the golden dragon and cloud motifs are exceptionally delicate. The outer black long-sleeved layer in particular delivered amazing texture under the studio lights. The inner skirt and undershorts are made of patent leather, while the wide golden waistband and tassels add layered depth to the whole ensemble. Paired with over-the-knee black stockings, it elongates the leg lines and suits the character's aura perfectly. For the wig, I chose a light blue-to-white gradient; in addition to the black bow, golden horn-shaped hairpieces were added. Securing these hairpieces was quite tricky, requiring numerous bobby pins to keep them firmly in place throughout the shoot. For the makeup, special emphasis was placed on the eyes, using reddish eyeshadow blending and light-colored contact lenses to match the character's agile yet slightly mysterious vibe.

For props, I prepared two cards—one black-gold and one blue-gold—with custom-designed totems that felt substantial in hand. The venue was a Chinese classical studio featuring wooden screens and furniture, with plum blossom branches hanging overhead. To enhance the atmosphere, dry ice smoke and foreground white sheer drapes were incorporated.

The shooting process was really interesting. The first set featured a side-sitting posture, holding the black-gold card and gazing toward the left. To achieve a relaxed look in this pose, the back needed to be upright while the shoulders stayed loose, and the gaze couldn't be too tense—it had to convey effortless confidence. The second set adjusted to a seiza-like kneeling posture on a plush mat, holding the blue-gold card while looking straight into the lens. Because of the patent leather skirt and black stockings, I had to be very mindful of coverage while kneeling, repeatedly adjusting the angle between my thighs and calves to avoid unflattering lines. This pose truly tested my core strength; keeping the upper body steady required constant effort from my legs and waist. The photographer guided angles from behind the camera, using a smoke machine and warm front lighting to highlight the sheen and slimming silhouette of the black stockings with crisp clarity. The translucent white drape added in the foreground introduced a hazy depth, enriching the composition and drawing the visual focus inward.

Wearing this entire ensemble alongside the wig was quite sweltering, especially with the long-sleeved outerwear in a fairly warm studio, leaving me covered in sweat. But the resulting shots made all the effort worthwhile. I am particularly satisfied with the mood in the second photo—that sense of relaxation laced with a touch of sharpness matches the character's dynamic contrast perfectly. The most enjoyable part of cosplay is this journey of bringing virtual characters into reality. Meeting many outstanding creators at the Fan Content Festival and exchanging shooting tips and prop-crafting experiences created a wonderful atmosphere. I truly hope this lucky bunny brings everyone good cheer.
