This time, I am bringing you the Shirasu Azusa cosplay Swimsuit Azusa styling from Blue Archive. The details of this outfit are extremely rich, featuring pink and white fine-striped spliced ruffles paired with a navy blue bow, creating a very strong visual layering. To fit the character's temperament, the wig chose a fluffy white long straight style, and the hair accessories on top of the head are key: the stacking of large purple flowers and colorful bows makes the overall styling look even more lively. In terms of makeup, the under-eye blush was deliberately emphasized, matched with red-toned contact lenses, narrowing the distance with the 2D character.
The shooting scene was inside an artificial beach studio. Blue-and-white striped parasols, lounge chairs, an inflatable pool, and scattered props like little yellow ducks and coconuts built a relaxed summer seaside atmosphere. During the shoot, I hoped to showcase the character's lively and slightly playful side. With the help of a swimming ring, wooden boxes, and water-playing actions, the frame gained more storytelling. For example, the photo sitting on the inflatable swim ring required mobilizing core strength to maintain balance while adjusting the angle of crossed legs, so that the body curves and the fluid feel of the swimsuit could naturally present themselves in front of the lens. Although the white wing props on the back added a sense of splendor to the picture, they were a bit heavy when actually worn, which required repeatedly adjusting postures between sitting and standing to find a balance point, avoiding leaning the body forward and looking stiff.
To simulate the bright light of summer, the photographer put thought into the lighting; pool reflections and water splashes kicked up while playing in the water were all captured moments. Although studio shooting lacked real sea breezes, through the cooperation of light, shadow, and actions, that cool refreshing feeling was successfully created. In action design, I intentionally added subtle movements like playing with water splashes, holding the swim ring, or sideways fixing the hair accessories, trying to capture the natural state of the character playing on the beach. After the entire shoot, not only did I experience the exquisiteness of this Swimsuit Azusa styling, but I also tried expressing various emotions in front of the lens, making it a very fulfilling cosplay photography experience.
