This shoot was inspired by a black-and-white illustration of Reimu Hakurei from Touhou. During preparation, I constantly thought about how to use cinematic language to restore those tense lines and the delicate Atmosphere. Although the final photos are in color, in terms of composition and facial expression, I tried my best to fit that sense of detachment and "innocence" from the original painting. To match this scene, I specifically chose a venue with Japanese architecture and a tranquil pond. In the reflection by the water, this beauty of opposites and unity is magnified. The Clothing texture of the folds on the costume, under the sunlight, presents rich layers, especially the head ornaments, which have a strong presence during dynamic shots. As a coser who demands quality, I care deeply about prop details and the overall flow of light and shadow. Every photo shoot is a cross-temporal dialogue with the artist's inspiration. Through this work, I hope not just for a simple restoration, but to bring the audience an immersive visual feast. While capturing that agile moment, I was constructing the character's inner monologue in my head. I hope this series lets everyone who likes Reimu Hakurei see the cool yet real her in my heart.
