To better restore the vivid temperament of Reimu Hakurei from the Touhou Project, this costume design incorporates more Chinese elements rich in cultural heritage while keeping the core color scheme unchanged. During the on-site shooting, I specifically selected this Japanese-style shrine with a sense of history as the background, utilizing the lines of the architecture itself and the quaint stone steps to set off the character's transcendent temperament. To make the visual effect more three-dimensional, I also considered many details in the tailoring of the costume, especially the pleat processing and layering effect of the skirt, striving to present a gorgeous and smooth texture even when capturing dynamic movements. In terms of light and shadow, I hoped to capture the moment when sunlight shines on the red fabric through the tree shadows; this contrast of light and dark often best reflects the spirit of the character. From makeup to the selection of props, I hoped to achieve a high degree of Character accuracy in every step. As an enthusiast with a deep pursuit of ACG culture, every creation is a re-interpretation of the character's connotation. I hope this creation allows fans who like Reimu Hakurei to feel that unique Eastern aesthetics and perfectly replicate the unique charm of the character, where solemnity and vividness coexist while guarding the spirits, in front of the lens. This is not just a simple Cosplay, but a visualization of Eastern cultural aesthetics.
