The Xiamen New Year's Day Animation Carnival has successfully come to an end, and this time I unlocked a new experience as a "car girl" at an anime convention! Since I had previously seen many photos online of people posing on car roofs with Itasha, I finally made it happen for myself this time. Huge thanks to the car owner from @闽痛会; I only dared to climb up after obtaining their permission in advance. The roof is about 1.5 meters off the ground, so for safety, I brought my own folding ladder, then slowly moved up from the lower part of the rear of the car, finding a secure foothold before standing on the roof. Before standing up, I also wiped down the car roof for the owner, counting it as a free car wash.

Actually, the wrap on this Itasha looks incredibly good; its red and white color scheme is a perfect match for the Reimu Hakurei Cosplay I portrayed this time. Letting the skirt hem naturally scatter to cover a tiny bit of the glass window, or holding the plush doll in front of my chest, combined with the prints on the car surface, made the final photo results look truly beautiful. However, safety is always the number one priority, and this point must be highlighted! The car roof is a curved surface, so if you just simply sit on it, it is extremely easy to slip. Personally, I sat near the edge next to the A-pillar throughout the session, keeping my center of gravity as far back as possible, with my legs hanging down naturally to maintain balance. During the shoot, large movements or shaking are strictly prohibited. The photographer was also constantly looking for angles from below and reminding me, making the atmosphere both tense and fun. For friends who want to challenge climbing car roofs at future anime conventions, I highly recommend wearing sneakers with anti-slip soles. Do not wear high heels to climb up and down, as it's easy to scratch the car paint and you might fall over.

Besides being on the roof, I also tried posing by leaning half my body out of the car window and leaning against the car door while holding the plush. Since the space on the car roof is limited, leaning half-flat over it just happened to avoid blind spots, looking natural and relaxed. The atmosphere at the convention venue this time was also very lively. Quite a few fellow fans recognized this outfit and expressed their love for it, making it a very unique convention experience. Lastly, I want to say that Itasha culture itself is highly photogenic, and coming across a car owner who is willing to cooperate for photos is truly rare. Without a ladder and safe precautions, please do not easily imitate this!
