[Blanc Cosplay] Goddess of Victory: NIKKE — Today's Black and Gold Elegance

From styling the wig to putting on that black and gold interwoven battle suit, the moment the translucent black mesh sleeves hugged my arms and my glossy leather-textured gloves gripped the fan handle, I instantly entered Blanc's state. This costume has immense visual tension; the dominant black tone is calm and restrained, while the gold embroidered patterns on the chest and waist shimmer with delicate luster under the exhibition hall's ceiling lights. Paired with the pure white Chinese-style mandarin collar and golden frog fasteners, it perfectly combines Eastern charm with ACGN coolness.
During the shoot, we experimented with multiple camera angles to display the character's long, graceful lines. I kept holding my breath to maintain core stability, especially when striking that sitting pose with a high leg lift, which required the strength of a single glute and thigh to maintain balance—that physical tension actually made my gaze look more determined and confident. The side-lying posture in the photo actually tested my physical flexibility quite heavily; I needed to ensure that every edge of the clothing lay flat and smooth, while using the black lace fan in my hand as a natural visual guide so the frame wouldn't appear too empty.
The exhibition hall is a steel jungle full of industrial vibes, and the dense arrays of lights on the ceiling serve not only as illumination but also as excellent rim lights. The photographer took full advantage of the perspective distortion of the wide-angle lens to make my legs and body look extremely elongated. Combined with the low-angle perspective, it felt as if the entire space was brought under my control. At this moment, if I worried about the gazes of passing onlookers, it would only ruin the atmosphere, so I chose to immerse myself in my own rhythm, focusing on the core point of exertion for every single movement.
I really love the capture of light and shadow in this set of photos, especially the transition between sharp and blurred elements brought by the large aperture, which turned the cluttered booths and patrolling staff in the background into blurry blocks of color, making the subject naturally become the visual focus. The unique straight-out-of-camera color effect of Fujifilm cameras gave the black silk and leather rich layers of texture, without looking muddy or grey at all. In a crowded place like a comic convention, being able to capture such a clean and sharp image is entirely thanks to the photographer's composition and execution.
Every time I cosplay, for me it is not just a showcase, but a reshaping of the character's personality. Whether it's the gentle smile with one hand lightly touching my temple or the flowing gaze when my face is half-hidden by the fan, I try to make these details align with my own understanding of the character. After a whole day of Cosplay photography, my heels, lower back, and shoulders inevitably ache, but the moment I see the frame frozen in the viewfinder, the joy of merging with the character fills my chest.
