Shooting convention photos at the ChinaJoy Nikon booth this time involved navigating massive crowds, yet the booth's yellow ring structure and black backdrop provided outstanding illumination, yielding final shots with remarkable tactile texture. The ensemble embraces a gothic punk aesthetic dominated by black and red. The upper body features a black leather corset bodice lined with deep crimson peeking through metallic zippers and side cutouts; the crisscross front lacing and metal rivets add authentic, substantial weight, while the leather catches natural, sleek sheen under booth strobes. Below is a multi-tiered, irregularly cut black leather mini skirt, with red scalloped lace stitched along every tiered fold, complemented by red ribbon bows and metallic garter straps along the sides, allowing each layer to ripple crisply in motion.

Accessories and props were meticulously prepared. Around the neck was a black leather choker laced with silver chains, paired with long glossy black patent gloves, the right glove detailed with a silver cross charm. The legs were styled in sheer Black stockings, accented at the thigh with black leather garter bands sporting metallic O-rings, visually elongating lower-body proportions. Although the red mini demon wings on my back were compact, they peaked out cleanly during side profiles and turns, elevating the character's mischievous aura. In hand was a long black staff topped with a black-and-red heart-shaped paddle embellished with a red cross motif. The wig was chosen in vivid orange-red styled into high twin tails, crowned with black ribbon bows to create striking contrast against the dark leather garments.

During posing, because the outfit is tightly tailored, overly broad movements had to be avoided to prevent awkward creasing across the leather. I focused on maintaining an upright posture, using gentle hip twists, one-handed waist placement, or resting weight primarily on one leg to accentuate the tapered waistline and the flare of the skirt. The full-body shot in image 7 is one of my personal favorites: standing squarely centered within the yellow booth archway, key light stroked the cheekbone cleanly, while the sheer texture of the stockings and thigh harness resolved sharply, alternating between heels and plush slippers to meet various staging requirements.

The photographer adjusted angles with agility, alternating between half-body close-ups and environmental full-body framing. To showcase garment details, I varied hand gestures—pointing the prop forward or holding it beside the cheek. Given the bustling booth background, a wide aperture melted the environment into creamy bokeh, centering visual focus entirely onto the figure. The session proceeded at a brisk pace; despite the venue heat and the warmth of leather and hosiery, previewing those crisp black-and-red leather lines on the camera display made every second worth it. This look broke away from conventional sweetness, forging a textural clash between rigid leather and soft hosiery, fulfilling everything I envisioned for this Gothic style cosplay.
