The Royal Navy's heavy cruiser, Cheshire, is now on standby.

Putting on this wedding dress intertwined with light blue and pure white, standing in front of the white Gothic architectural backdrop as light spills through the massive softbox, I truly felt the substantial weight and exquisiteness of this styling. This shoot was not just a simple outfit change, but more like a miniature stage play constructed inside the studio.

The cascading layers of lace on the costume, paired with the blue and white rose bouquet in hand and that crown featuring cat-ear elements, required the right interplay of light and shadow to bring out their fine details. The photography team put immense heart into building the set this time; the white spired structures, arches, and Roman columns established a pure and sacred visual baseline.

For our studio lighting, we used Nanguang's large deep parabolic softbox as the primary light source. The advantage of this gear lies in its exceptionally even light and large area of coverage, which avoids harsh shadows on the face, creating a fairytale-like, 2D sophisticated aesthetic instead. Especially when paired with a spotlight attachment, it can cast localized bright spots on the walls or the skirt train, simulating the dreamy lighting effect of sunlight filtering through stained glass windows. This Nanguang equipment setup is truly expressive in the studio.

Teacher Baihe's on-site guidance always allowed me to find my best condition quickly; he adjusted my sitting postures and expressions based on the light placement and prop positioning. Those moments of communication captured in the photos were actually vital sparks of inspiration during the creative process. Facing the lens, I needed to display not only Cheshire's elegance as a heavy cruiser but also convey that hazy, dreamy ambiance belonging to a fairytale wedding.

Integrating an ACG character into a real studio environment in a high-quality manner is exactly the style of creation I adore. Good equipment and a professional shooting approach in Cosplay photography allow the character to be reborn in the real world.
