This Azur Lane Neptune cosplay shoot combined military outfit elements with bunny ears, giving me a fresh and novel experience. The hat design was very clever: a deep blue military cap with a gold emblem, from which oversized bunny ears (pink inside, white outside) extended on both sides, instantly balancing the character's playfulness and cool style. Light blue straight hair paired with red lips delivered strong visual impact, capturing both high-leg dynamic moments and quiet gun-holding stances naturally.
The outfit details were well executed—a white standing collar paired with a red tie looked crisp and energetic, while the deep blue jacket featured gold sleeve trim, echoing the hat. Below, a glossy black corset added distinct luster to the overall look. Pure white gloves adorned with light blue ribbons at the wrists, along with a silver prop gun in hand, made the appearance look quite sharp. Though not heavy armor, performing high-difficulty posing in the studio tested physical stamina, especially the high leg lift. To extend the leg straight while showcasing leg shape and sheer tights luster under high-contrast lighting, we adjusted camera angles and positioning for a long time.
The photoshoot took place in a professional studio featuring visible metal trusses, ceiling light banks, and a large round softbox in the background; this dark industrial background fit the tough-agent setting perfectly. Since sheer tights tend to reflect under hard studio lighting, light control was crucial to present agent-like sharpness while preserving fabric delicacy. I was particularly satisfied with the high leg lift composition in the first shot—the visual focus stretched instantly, and the body curve matched the aggressive character setting, holding a calm, undeniable sense of presence even when sitting quietly.
Handling the prop gun required care; hand placement and glove fit influenced visual credibility. Paired with those prominent bunny ears, it achieved a balance of strength and softness. Blue tones stood out against the cool background, while the red tie added a bright accent, creating a bold yet cohesive color palette. The photographer was highly professional with posing guidance, capturing key moments like leg muscle tension and facial expressions perfectly.
Before this shoot, I had thought about doing an agent-themed look. Since Neptune has a strong established impression, capturing that playful yet tsundere anime vibe while maintaining high-end quality in real photography required thought regarding body language. This kind of character cosplay sharing really tests cooperation between cosplayer and photographer; timing of prop usage and camera presence require fine-tuning. Some black coverage in post-processing was due to garment overlap, but the overall atmosphere remained unaffected.
