Starting with hair and makeup preparation: managing the highlights on the wig was quite challenging—especially the cyan-blue gradient at the ends, which required maintaining delicate curls and using generous styling spray to prevent frizz under intense sun exposure. The two giant gold bell headpieces, while looking structured and full on camera, required finding precise balance points to anchor; otherwise, a whole day of walking around easily strains your neck. For this day of convention photography, I scouted locations in advance, leveraging the clean lines of glass curtain walls and gray architectural facades for minimalist backgrounds.

Because the outdoor light was harsh and prone to casting heavy shadows, and to prevent the white collar and sleeves from blowing out completely, I collaborated through several rounds with the photographer to fine-tune the reflector angles, ultimately mastering balanced skin exposure. The translucent, airy quality of these photos largely stems from directional light guidance. The costume itself is intricately designed: the navy skirt features textured jacquard fabric spliced with multi-tiered fluffy white petticoats for crisp layering, presenting great dynamic motion when caught by the wind.

Golden chains and a cross pendant dangle beneath the chest bow tie, which, paired with the horizontal gold waist striping and white lace trim, form the visual centerpiece of this anime cosplay look. In framing, we emphasized these metallic accents, which shimmered with every movement and echoed the radiant gold bells overhead. Wearing such a layered dress, I proactively smoothed out the ruffled sleeves and skirt tiers between takes, as larger motions easily accumulated creases that might disrupt the crispness of the frame.

Although the heavy bells and layered fabric presented a sweltering test under the sun, seeing the final edits made every drop of sweat worthwhile. I also brought a small plush prop on site; while it didn't appear in every shot, it worked wonders for mood adjustments during interactive takes.
