This time I cosplayed Evernight from Honkai: Star Rail. To recreate the character's cold yet slightly sharp temperament, I repeatedly adjusted everything from the wig styling to the costume details for a long time. Especially the layering of this black trench coat and the white inner top, along with the metal chains on the skirt hem, heavily tested the lighting during the night shoot.

I chose night cherry blossom photography because the character's name contains the word "night" (Ye). The dark floral background perfectly highlights the white hair and the red surface of the umbrella, and the flame patterns on the umbrella create a wonderful warm-and-cool contrast with the petals under the flash. During the shoot, a dual-light setup was used: the main light from the front-side created facial dimension, and the fill light subtly brightened the shadows. This way, the cherry blossoms didn't turn completely washed-out white, and the black of the clothes could retain its texture.

Although the outdoor night shoot was hard work, seeing the moment petals fell onto the umbrella surface in the final images made all the preparation completely worth it. The shoes for this look were also specially customized, and the strap design fits the character setting perfectly. During the shoot, my posture had to be upright, and my expression had to maintain that sense of detachment. I hope the photos can convey the quiet yet slightly mysterious power inherent to Evernight herself.
