This outdoor cosplay shoot took place after the Arknights 7th Anniversary event last year, capturing this set of Goldenglow in the open area outside the building using the last available daylight before dusk. Preparing this costume took quite a lot of time, and much thought went into the color coordination. To recreate the character as faithfully as possible, both the bow tie at the collar and the metallic decorations on the skirt hem were crafted based on the official design. The most challenging part was the mechanical staff; handcrafting it took considerable time, and it even housed an internal lighting unit. Holding it while walking around on the day of the shoot certainly tested my arm strength, but it added tremendous detail to the visual presentation. In terms of makeup, to fit the character's features, I adjusted the wig trimming and the positioning angle of the cat ears, and chose lighter-toned contact lenses to make the gaze appear softer. The combination of White tights cosplay and over-the-knee socks served as the visual highlight of the overall look; the lines on the socks needed to be carefully aligned to flatter the leg shape, which, paired with pink sneakers, made the entire styling look quite lively. This time, I coordinated the lighting setup with the photographer—the cool tones of the outdoor glass curtain wall formed a wonderful contrast with the warm sunset glow, and the bokeh effect created by a wide aperture enhanced the atmosphere. When posing, I deliberately tried various perspectives, including low-angle and eye-level shots, utilizing hand gestures and facial expressions to convey the character's personality nuances. Throughout the process of portraying the character, capturing the right demeanor was paramount; that curious yet earnest expression was especially vital in close-ups. We also ran into minor issues during the shoot, such as the skirt pleats easily getting disordered, requiring constant manual adjustments. Aside from the weight of the staff, the overall process went very smoothly. As a veteran player, being able to recreate a beloved character through the lens, appreciate the charm of the character's design, and look back on the journey of this outdoor shoot was truly an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.
