Today, the convention photos from the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition have finally been retouched. This time, I cosplayed Mostima from Arknights. Ahead of the shoot, I poured considerable effort into both the props and wardrobe nuances for this look. The blue-purple gradient wig showed remarkable depth and dimension under natural daylight, while the metallic geometric headpiece and cyan-green colored contacts stayed as faithful as possible to her official character illustration.

The layering of the costume is quite intricate. The upper half features a black long-sleeved garment with exaggerated flare sleeves and cascading white ruffles that drape beautifully when raising an arm. The wide golden corset around the waist serves as the visual centerpiece of the ensemble—not only cinching the waistline, but also adding a touch of toughness through its criss-cross lace-up details. The hem of the blue shorts beneath is accented with silver chains, draped beneath an outer black maxi dress speckled with white polka dots, accompanied by a trailing blue train printed with golden geometric patterns. On my feet, the black tall leather boots with rivets and silver toe caps completed a sharply defined, layered silhouette.

On the day of the shoot, the outdoor daylight was exceptionally clear and luminous, though the wind was quite brisk; my assistant had to constantly help arrange the shape of the long trailing cape and white fabrics behind me. To better showcase the full silhouette of the dress alongside the tall boots, we specifically borrowed a folding step ladder as a posing aid. Pulling off poses on a ladder is far more challenging than on flat ground: not only did I have to maintain balance, but I also had to fine-tune my hand placement while holding the rapier prop. The seated pose in the second photo is one of my favorites—the angle of crossed legs happened to highlight the side-slit cut of the attire while letting the skirt hem and train drape down organically, yielding a well-balanced composition.

The hardest part of taking convention floor photos is that there are inevitably people in the background, so when searching for angles, we relied heavily on telephoto compression or low upward angles to frame out the crowd. Walking outdoors in this look was surprisingly stable thanks to the boots, but because the skirt is so long, climbing the ladder and moving between shooting spots required extreme caution to avoid stepping on the fabric. The makeup emphasized eye contours, keeping the base foundation clean and matte to complement the character's cool-toned color scheme.

Overall, the photoshoot went very smoothly. Although the weather was somewhat warm, seeing the finished photos made every bit of hard work completely worthwhile. Sincere thanks to the photographer for great synergy and to the support team for their help.
