The light by the window was truly perfect for this Nun cosplay shoot. A lot of thought went into the details of this Hatsune Miku cosplay styling for the Rabbit Hole version, especially the texture of the cross and the veil. Paired with the light blue to pink gradient wig, the overall color tone looks exceptionally clean under the soft natural light.
The weather for this Qingdao photoshoot was beautiful that day; the sunlight streamed through the French windows onto the white plush carpet, giving the entire frame its own dreamy, hazy atmosphere. Compared to a studio shoot, this soft transition created by natural light highlights the layered texture of the outfit's fabric patchwork much better, while also making the skin tone look more natural and translucent.
In terms of posing, I didn't intentionally pursue a strong visual impact, but rather followed the direction of the light to make some relaxed movements. For example, holding the cross or turning slightly to look at the camera, hoping to fuse the quiet temperament of a nun with the inherent cuteness of Hatsune Miku. During the shoot, I also tried a lazy sitting posture to complement the composition of the large window.
Regarding the makeup, since the wig is already a very clear blue-and-pink gradient, I intentionally toned down the eyeshadow, focusing instead on outlining the eyeliner to echo the blue colored contacts. There's actually a small detail on my cheek—a red cross sticker—though you might have to look closely to notice it, which serves as a small tribute to the original character design. The tailoring of this outfit is very slim-fit, and the white patchwork at the neckline and cuffs prevents the overall look from feeling too somber. For props, I specially chose a pink cross necklace, which creates a wonderful harmony with the color tone of the wig. The overall color tone leans warm, and I hope to present a version of Hatsune Miku that respects the setting while bringing a bit of personal style to this Portrait photography session.
