This second set of photos for the Little Zombie look comes from the lens of photographer Chino-chan. Compared to the previous set which had a darker, gothic feel, this set clearly emphasizes a quiet, cool-toned atmosphere in its lighting and coloration. The blue main light, paired with warm touches in the shadows, naturally integrates the Chinese-style study scene with the character's temperament.
In terms of outfit details, the teal-blue satin robe features subtle patterns, combined with gold-thread embroidered cloud patterns and red elements on the cuffs. Visually, it retains the traditional symbols of the zombie theme (such as the official hat, yellow talismans, and bandages on the legs) while incorporating Hatsune Miku's signature mint-green twin tails and bun hairstyles, creating a strong sense of mash-up. During the shoot, we tried several different sitting poses and actions with props, such as interacting with the talismans and leaning lazily against the edge of the wooden table. The photographer captured these moments very promptly, keeping the catchlights in my eyes and my facial contours clean.
Actually, when shooting this kind of anime spin-off character, the biggest worry is that the clothing texture won't hold up, but the draping of the fabric and the embroidery details this time were reproduced beautifully. Together with the white beads and the leg strap accessories, I'm very satisfied with the overall completion. The ink scrolls and plum blossom branches in the scene added a touch of scholarly refinement to the frame, which perfectly complements the character's originally cute yet slightly mysterious temperament.
During our early discussions, we wanted to break away from the conventional horror aspect of little zombies and lean more toward a visual effect of an "exquisite Chinese-style doll." By using slightly low-angle or eye-level camera placements combined with a large aperture to blur the background, the subject was highlighted. In post-processing, the highlights were toned down slightly to make the blue atmosphere more intense. All in all, it was a very pleasant shooting collaboration. Being able to present a character I love in a completely different style is exactly the most interesting part of cosplay.
