This set of photos features Flandre Scarlet from the Scarlet Devil Mansion. In the process of creating this look, the details of the costume and props needed to be carefully polished. The red and white Lolita-style dress, paired with an exaggerated ruffled bonnet and golden-yellow wig, delivers a full sense of fairy tale style photography. The details of the accessories are very rich during the shoot; the subtle pattern material on the dress and the layered lace borders have a very special sense of exquisiteness when worn, especially that pink bow at the waist, which adds a bit of gentle temperament.

The teddy bear plush and apple in hand are indispensable embellishments for this shoot. Tossing the apple back and forth by my hand beautifully expresses the character's playful personality. And that pair of curved crystal wings can be considered the soul that supported the entire look. However, during the actual shoot, these wings were heavier than imagined; maintaining my center of gravity while coordinating with movements to create a light and agile feeling was indeed a huge test of physical strength and core power.

During the shooting process, photographer danta helped me capture various dynamic movements. Especially the shot where I jump and toss the apple, freezing in mid-air while wearing small high heels; it took many repetitions to find the most perfect state. The frozen frame in the first photo where I hold the teddy bear and gently touch my lips was an interesting attempt. The overlapping hands combined with the gaze made the frame softer. Meanwhile, other quiet sitting poses or shots lifting the skirt hem better reflect the delicate and soft side of the character. Simply standing in front of the grey background also highlights the color contrast of the costume, making the combination of red and white highly eye-catching.

Let's talk about the shoes and socks. The patent leather texture of the Mary Jane shoes, paired with white ruffled short socks, easily elongates the visual proportions of the legs. Regarding the makeup color tones, to better match the Touhou Project charm, the base makeup was made very clean, with the focus placed on the eye makeup, trying a drawing technique that expands the contours without looking exaggerated. Combined with the wig, this made the eyes look bright and piercing. The wings adopt a geometric color-blocking design, preventing the overall look from being monotonous in tone. From planning to the final photos, every detail is the result of everyone's collaboration.

In the lore, Flandre is a little girl full of whimsical ideas, so when expressing these photos, I had to try my best to capture that expression right between playful and innocent. Finding specific angles through those few hanging diamond-shaped crystals to let the light refract across different colored facets was also thanks to the photographer. If the skirt hem of this outfit isn't fluffy enough, the aura of the entire look will be weakened significantly, so the petticoat underneath must support a sufficient shape. When you kick up the skirt hem, you can naturally fling out those layers of ruffles.

Honestly, having done cosplay for so long, the most joyful process when attempting characters with such strong settings isn't just putting on the clothes, but figuring out how to use body language to let static photos convey the character's intended presence. When stepping into high heels and standing straight, you need to master your center of gravity to strike a light, hovering sensation. In the studio, adjusting movements and controlling the center of gravity means every shutter press captures the current state. Although jumping around while wearing ruffled socks and retro shoes is not easy, seeing that red and white silhouette along with those sparkling prism decorations in the final photos makes all the trouble feel completely worth it. This set of photos records our attempt at this stage, freezing these tension-filled dynamic moments through light and shadow, which is also a unique interpretation of the character's charm for an Anime cosplay.
