Today, I took the Wuthering Waves Camellya Convention photos at the Firefly Anime Convention. I prepared for a long time in advance for this shoot. The details of this outfit are very numerous, with an overall design of a white base embellished with red and black. The top features an asymmetrical cut, and the black cross straps on the chest and the hollow-out areas on both sides are the biggest difficulties. To ensure no accidents during shooting, I used dozens of pieces of double-sided tape and snap fasteners, spending nearly an hour fixing them while putting it on in the morning, making sure there would be no wardrobe malfunction no matter how I moved.
There is a thin black belt at the waist, hanging with metallic decorative rings, connecting to the white pleated skirt below. The skirt has several layers; the innermost is a white tulle lining, and the outer layer is a white pleated skirt. The edge of the skirt hem is spliced with red wavy lace, and there is also a circle of golden chain-like patterns. This multi-layered design makes the skirt hem look very fluffy. When walking or striking poses, the arc of the skirt hem is beautiful and can perfectly display the layering of the costume.
The wig is a white short-hair twin-tail style, with a few wisps of loose hair in front to modify the face shape. Hair accessories include black bows and red straps, with a thin red ribbon hanging down on each side of the cheeks. The most troublesome part is the two long transparent red ribbons trailing behind. When walking around the venue, these ribbons easily get tangled on arms or props, so as soon as I stopped shooting, I had to quickly smooth them out.
I wore pure white pantyhose on my legs, with a white flower-shaped leg ring strapped on the right thigh. This leg ring needed to be adjusted to the right tightness; too loose and it would slide down, too tight and it would leave obvious marks, affecting the overall aesthetics. The shoes are a pair of light blue chunky-heeled open-toe sandal boots, with black splicing at the back and golden circular decorations on the upper. The heel height is about seven or eight centimeters. After putting them on, the overall proportion was lifted a lot, but walking for a long time was indeed tiring.
In terms of makeup, the eye makeup was mainly emphasized. I wore amber-toned contact lenses, which created a strong visual contrast with the white wig. The lip color chosen was a light pink-orange, which wouldn't steal the focus from the eyes. In my hand, I held a prop with a small red fish pendant, looking like a small umbrella or a magic wand. In the venue of the Firefly Anime Convention, although the on-site lighting was quite messy, with the help of a large aperture lens, the crowd and the venue in the background were blurred into cool-toned light spots, which instead highlighted the color of the main character.
For the first picture, I chose a dynamic pose, with the right arm raised and the left hand laid flat outwards. This action perfectly displayed the spreading effect of the skirt hem and the side lines of the shoes. The second picture is a bit more restrained, with hands clasped in front of the chest, head slightly turned, looking at the camera. This one was mainly to showcase the hollow-out design of the upper body and the gaze. The overall shooting process went very smoothly. Although this outfit is complex to wear, the final effect met expectations.
