[Grinning Professor cosplay] Blue Archive Recreation Under Black-and-White Grid and Natural Light

Putting on this black sailor suit and stepping onto the black-and-white grid floor of this vintage house, I instantly felt transformed into the Grinning Professor from the game Blue Archive. For this shoot, we specially chose this cafe set with massive glass windows and a vintage crystal chandelier. The diffuse reflection of the afternoon natural light hitting my face provided an exceptionally wonderful texture.

The wig showed a very natural color under the light. Paired with those emerald green colored contacts, when my gaze locked onto the camera lens, it perfectly set the tone for that calm yet slightly lazy temperament. The cane and briefcase served as key props, helping me find plenty of posture support points when standing or sitting. I especially want to praise these black-and-white patchwork lace-up boots. They not only restore the character's leg elements but also unexpectedly complement the black-and-white floor tiles in the scene perfectly.

For the black tights outfit paired with a ruffled miniskirt design, one needs to be mindful of the sitting angle during the shoot, otherwise the black clothing can easily swallow the body details. Fortunately, the photographer's lens avoided all pitfalls. During the shoot direction, we experimented from a grim standing posture to an extended dynamic pose leaning on the round table, and the drape of the black trench coat also made the overall silhouette quite sharp. The entire process was actually a real test for core strength, because many seemingly casual movements required being tight to maintain the costume's shape. Capturing the desired expression isn't just about posing; it is an active interpretation of the character design. After finishing this photo set, I feel that this outfit actually has good everyday applicability, making it perfect as a Casual cosplay look for various vintage taverns or old villa settings for this piece of Anime-style photography.
