[Kochiya Sanae Cosplay] Refreshing JK Convention Photos at Guangzhou Touhou Event Gensou Seika

For these convention photos at Guangzhou Touhou event Gensou Seika, I went directly with a JK uniform interpretation of Kochiya Sanae. Pre-shoot preparations centered heavily on the wig and accessories: the emerald-green wig formed the stylistic foundation, paired with the signature frog hairclip and curled white hair ornaments on both sides for spot-on character fidelity. The wardrobe featured a white-and-green sailor-style uniform, where I carefully adjusted the neck scarf knotting method to create a dimensional, crisp look. Anticipating rainy weather before the shoot, I brought a clear umbrella as a prop. During the session, the translucent umbrella proved to be a massive asset—diffusing harsh glare while casting gorgeous catchlights into the eyes and softly bouncing ambient light across the face. The shooting location was set along a corridor by a glass curtain wall; the horizontal lines in the background tidied up the framing, while the glass reflections gently softened facial contours. Because I wore round framed glasses, coordinating with the lens required dialing in specific angles to avoid intense specular glare. Among the poses, the frontal shot holding the umbrella offered a centered, balanced composition that cleanly showcased costume tailoring and facial nuances. The shooting environment at an Anime convention is inherently chaotic, requiring patience to snap frames when crowds thinned. Heartfelt thanks to photographer 岁岁年年—the camera angles and color grading preserved the translucent freshness I envisioned, perfectly channeling the serene, breezy aura of this Touhou Project character. Wearing a longer wig that day required extra maintenance, but supportive friends on site helped keep every strand in place. For overall styling, I favored a cohesive aqua-green palette across wardrobe and props so nothing felt disconnected. At Guangzhou Touhou Only, I caught up with familiar faces and connected with fellow fans of the franchise. Carrying the umbrella while walking across indoor and outdoor areas harmonized naturally with the character's persona. The photographer's framing utilized the umbrella ribs as leading lines combined with the uniform's contours, drawing focus squarely to the center. We experimented with varied stances, including glancing down to adjust the glasses for a relaxed, candid feel. For makeup, subtle warm-pink eyeshadow created a gentle warm-cool contrast against the green locks, preventing the face from looking flat. Merging natural light with transparent glass created a tranquil ambiance. The set is packed with subtle accents—like the star insignia on the collar and the white ring bracelet—that I hope shine through clearly. The soft reflections on the glass added a dreamy haze.
