I took advantage of the great weather to shoot this Kochiya Sanae cosplay set. The wind on the mountain was incredibly strong, which perfectly matched the character's vibe. The blue plaid and white lace details of the costume looked stunning under natural light, and the round fan and bell props in my hand were specially custom-made, feeling very substantial to hold. During the shoot, to capture the natural curves of the skirt and sleeves being blown by the wind, I adjusted my positioning over and over again. The effect of the ribbon flying out in the third photo was an unexpected surprise, instantly bringing out a sense of motion. The wig is a very clear mint green, and the color looks exceptionally beautiful under the sunlight, not appearing stiff at all. The mountain scenery as a background is a huge plus; the blue sky and green trees paired with the white and blue shrine maiden uniform look very refreshing visually. Looking over the final photos, I'm quite satisfied. Whether it's the accuracy of the costume or the staging of the scene, I tried my best to stay close to that lightweight and agile feeling from Touhou Fuujinroku: Mountain of Faith. Although this outdoor photography was tiring, seeing the final photos makes it all worth it. Touhou Project cosplay really makes you fall in love with the character all over again.
