Let's directly look at this set of Wuthering Waves Phoebe convention photos sharing. To restore the character's unique temperament in the photos, the details on the clothing and accessories must be in place. This wide-brimmed white hat is the soul of the entire outfit, matched with the shoulder-length golden long hair and the blue cross-shaped hair accessory at the bangs. Once worn, the character's outline immediately comes out. In terms of clothing, I chose a long jacket with a white base and gold edges, layered over a black inner wear with gold stripes. What catches the eye the most is still that bright blue sash. The tassels hanging from the sash echo the golden chain pendant at the waist, increasing the visual layering. The lower body is matched with a black striped short skirt, White stockings, and white mid-calf boots. The boot openings are intentionally tied with blue ribbons, forming a color unity with the upper-body sash.
To showcase the lines of the White stockings and legs in a sitting posture, adjusting the Photo poses during shooting is crucial. In this gray stone steps scene, if the legs are placed straight rigidly, it will look very stiff. I tried a crossed-leg sitting posture with the body leaning slightly, which not only lengthens the leg proportions but also makes the overall posture more relaxed. For example, in one photo, the right hand supports the hat brim, the left hand naturally supports the side of the body, the center of gravity moves back slightly, and the gaze follows the direction of the fingertips, cooperating with the purplish-blue contact lenses to capture the character's mysterious feel well. The other two photos show crossing arms or resting hands loosely, straightening the waist and back while keeping the legs crossed. This posture looks more confident and can keep the white trench coat's hem from looking messy while keeping the clothes crisp.
Shooting this kind of clothing, the cleanliness of the background directly affects the photo output effect. The white grid wall surface and cool-toned lighting fit this attire very well, with no redundant color interference, allowing the visual focus to be completely concentrated on the character's styling and state. Hand movements enhance the narrative sense of the frame greatly. After wearing black short gloves, whether lightly touching the hat brim or casually resting on the legs, it avoids making the actions look empty.
In state control, I kept pondering Phoebe's expression, which is both aloof and carries a hint of invitation. Therefore, I didn't make overly exaggerated expressions, but instead used slightly lowered eyelashes and an inquisitive gaze to cooperate with the lens. The cool-white-toned lighting hits the white clothes and White stockings with a very delicate texture, and also makes the golden hair and purple eyes more eye-catching. During the shooting process, maintaining the smoothness of the clothes is a challenge; every time I adjust the sitting posture, I instinctively tidy up the lace edges of the hem and skirt. White stockings paired with white boots easily blend together visually, while the metal buckles and blue ribbons on the boots play a decorative and dividing role, making the legs' three-dimensional sense stronger.
In hair grooming, this long golden wig needed to be pre-treated with a curling iron to create a slightly wavy texture so that it hangs on the shoulders with more layering and doesn't look rigid. The blunt bangs should also be trimmed to just past the eyebrow length to perfectly complement the eye makeup. The lighting on the day of the shoot was actually quite challenging. To make good use of the wall's grid projection, we repeatedly adjusted the angles and finally found a side-backlit position, giving the edges of the white clothes a faint halo while ensuring the softness of the facial lighting. Phoebe's costume has a strong uniform feel, especially the jacket's stiffer cut, so even when sitting down, I would consciously straighten my back to avoid hunching and causing the clothes to deform. The sash's drape is also a key point; I adjusted its position several times to ensure natural vertical lines are visible in the lens, lengthening the overall visual proportion. Photography is actually a process of continuous dialogue with the lens, such as adjusting the direction of the toes or the angle of wrist bending; these subtle changes can make the final photo effect completely different. After the shooting ended, although changing out of the clothes was exhausting, seeing those satisfying frames in the camera made me feel that all the preparation and attempts were worth it. This shoot designed quite a few physical small details, hoping to inspire everyone's usual Photo poses conception.
