On Halloween night, the little zombie Misaki officially makes her appearance. This project has actually been conceived in my mind for a long time. Ever since I got this set of Blue Archive clothes, I've been thinking about how to combine the Halloween atmosphere with the character's own traits. The final result is a style that I personally love very much—cool yet carrying a hint of laziness.
Let's talk about the material and silhouette of this outfit first. The main body of the bodysuit is a deep purple, matched with eye-catching golden piping and dragon embroidery, while the golden mesh scale textures on the waist and abdomen emit a subtle gloss under the lighting. The most eye-catching design is undoubtedly the transparent PVC material from the chest to the shoulders and neck. This material naturally brings a sense of futuristic feel, and once worn, it fits the body shape very well, but it has extremely high demands on lighting during shooting. If the light is too harsh, reflective spots easily appear on the PVC. Therefore, I specifically had the photographer use a softbox to ensure capturing that translucent skin texture while retaining the silhouette of the costume itself. Although this material isn't very breathable after wearing it for a long time, it is entirely worth it for the final visual presentation of the frame.
The outer deep purple large-sleeved robe is the visual center of gravity for the entire styling. The wide cuffs are lined with white ruffles; when I raise my arms or let them drop naturally, these ruffles form a strong color contrast with the dark fabric. Because the sleeves are extremely long, I constantly searched for the most suitable exertion point during the shoot. Just like the first photo, I didn't fully straighten my arms, but slightly bent them, letting my forearms rest on the porcelain stool. This not only allows the wide sleeves to drape naturally on the ground to form nice pleats, but also wonderfully showcases the leg lines. The crossed legs extend slightly forward, and the white over-the-knee stockings feature a cross-strap design, with the semi-translucent material revealing skin tone, making them particularly striking against the pure white background.
Head details cannot be ignored either. The black dome hat paired with the yellow talisman is the core prop establishing the little zombie setting. The wig is deep blue double buns; to make the stray hairs on both sides look natural, I deliberately trimmed the layers. When taking photos, one hand gently rests on the brim of the hat while the other rests naturally, and the gaze maintains a slightly downward, out-of-focus feel, which perfectly captures that innocent yet slightly sassy character personality.
In fact, the shooting of this set of photos is very particular about the sense of extension in movements. Because there is a prop with Chinese classical charm like the blue-and-white porcelain drum stool, when posing, I deliberately tilted my body's center of gravity slightly to one side while keeping my shoulders relaxed. It's Halloween, after all; besides role-play, it's more about the joy of self-expression. Every pleat and every fixed gaze is a reinterpretation of the character. I hope this attempt brings everyone a different visual experience; Misaki's Halloween night is just filled with this hint of mysterious liveliness.
