[Amiya Bunny Maid's Daily Life] Arknights Cafe Waitress Moment

Shooting Amiya's bunny maid outfit this time was set outside a cafe with its own wooden courtyard and vintage white door-and-window frames. To fit Amiya's image in Arknights, the key element of bunny ears was specifically retained and blended with a classic maid outfit, giving the whole styling both character recognition and a warm sense of street-corner everyday familiarity.

For clothing, a classic black-and-white maid dress was selected. The upper body's black short-sleeved top is paired with a wide white ruffle collar, accented at the bowtie with a golden round buckle—a detail adding refinement while preserving lightness. Sleeve cuffs and wrist areas feature layered black-and-white lace trims, displaying fabric texture even in close-up shots. The apron on the lower half layers multiple white pleats stitched onto a black base skirt, falling right above the knees. Paired with white lace short socks and black lace-up chunky-heeled leather shoes, overall proportions appear slender.

The bunny ear headband is a crucial prop; unlike ordinary rabbit ears, its shape is slender and upright, with a fine furry texture on the surface showing subtle brownish-tan transitions under natural light. Paired with my natural long brown hair and face-framing bangs, it highlights facial features nicely before the camera lens. For makeup, soft earth tones were chosen for eyeshadow along with a faint lip color to maintain a fresh, translucent feel. Since a bunny maid setting doesn't require overly heavy makeup, a natural and gentle look fits the cafe waitress ambiance much better.

For scene design, the photographer cleverly utilized the store's white window frames and glass doors. Using the first photo as the main cover with frame composition, I stood holding a black tray at the open wooden door threshold; this visual guidance from outside inward or inside outward (depending on light direction) made the subject look three-dimensional and upright within the frame. Sunlight streamed through glass onto the wooden deck, looking as if a brief rain had just passed, leaving subtle reflections on floor tiles and wooden planks. This moist and fresh environmental atmosphere perfectly set up the immersive feel of the character greeting customers at the cafe.

During shooting, I tried various poses to demonstrate the character's vividness. Beyond standing quietly with the tray, there were actions of actively delivering a tray with bread and fruit to the windowsill, as well as leaning sideways against the doorframe looking back over the shoulder with a tray in hand. Reflections on the glass door were also captured, mirroring nearby white walls and green plants, making me appear to exist in two spaces simultaneously, giving the entire photo set rich depth. These seemingly simple daily movements aligned precisely with Amiya's lore trait: carrying heavy responsibilities yet remaining a gentle, thoughtful girl at heart.

In post-processing, we retained natural light and shadow as much as possible without over-boosting contrast, presenting a soft color tone close to film texture. White window frames and dark clothing created a great contrast of light and dark, while lush surrounding greenery and white fences served as blurred background, keeping the image crisp and clear. This outfit carries subtle bunny girl elements without feeling overly provocative, leaning toward that lighthearted, adorable charm in anime-style photography, fulfilling her image as a cafe server in daily life scenarios well.

Looking back at the original intention of creating this set of photos, it was to explore what Amiya looks like serving everyone with a tray in the sun outside the grand Arknights world setting. Stripping away heavy story missions on a peaceful afternoon, she is just a hardworking, gently smiling bunny waitress. Looking at final shots after shooting wrapped up, it feels like that relaxed, healing, life-infused atmosphere was preserved completely.
