The rules of the Phantom Moon Game are mine to decide! I finally got my hands on Ciyuanyi's 1.2-meter Evanescia greatsword, and it is genuinely long, wide, and heavily weighted in hand. In terms of cosplay prop dimensions, this sword definitely falls into the colossal category; a 1.2-meter length puts certain demands on body posture, and swinging it effortlessly with a single hand genuinely requires building up forearm strength. The prop's craftsmanship is very solid—the red luminous light tubes look incredible in low-light settings, especially when paired with magenta ambient lighting, immediately bringing out that edgy, handsome menace and delivering a richly impactful visual presence.

To complement the weapon's vibe, I deliberately chose this casual loungewear set covered in delicate all-over prints for the showcase. Although it's a relaxed, homey cut, it paradoxically creates a striking combat-ready gap moe, turning out surprisingly well on camera. During the shoot, the biggest headache was figuring out how to make this 1.2-meter blade look natural and cohesive in the frame. First, I tried kneeling on one knee with the sword resting across my shoulder. Using the shoulder as a support pivot offset a portion of the prop's weight, creating a steady, grounded posture that beautifully displayed the sheer length of the blade.

Next came a standing forward-leaning stance, which demanded much more core control. Because the prop is so long and its center of gravity is tricky to manage, gripping the hilt firmly with both hands while leaning the torso forward simulated the split second right before a heavy slash. Throughout this motion, it was crucial not to let the blade hug the body too tightly—leaving a breathing space kept the composition open and prevented the pose from feeling rigid. Since the built-in light tube illuminates on its own, utilizing dimmer ambient lighting is ideal; neon magenta effects paired with red illumination completely maximized the sci-fi mood.

The real focus of this photo set is highlighting the prop itself, inspecting the thickness and breadth of this Evanescia greatsword from various angles. Long and broad, holding it felt less like a prop and more like a workout session; after wrapping up this sequence of poses, my arms were genuinely aching. Yet seeing the interplay of light and shadow in the final shots made every ounce of effort worthwhile. When shooting with oversized props, the dynamic tension of your movement matters far more than static posing. For anyone trying similar props, always find your balance point first and prioritize safety. As for styling props with outfits, sometimes a full, elaborate armor kit isn't strictly necessary—a simple, everyday look combined with an unmistakably eye-catching weapon can deliver an equally stunning visual punch.
