[Misaki cosplay] Blue Archive Rainy night convention photoshoot, challenging a legendary shot

This shooting can be said to be an extreme challenge. The location was chosen on the streets of the city late at night, and it happened to catch a heavy rain. To capture the cold and powerful aura of Misaki from Blue Archive, we decided to start shooting in the rain. The ground was full of puddles, and this deep blue sleeveless cheongsam with golden embroidery on my body, paired with that blue-grey striped long trench coat, became extremely heavy after getting wet in the rain for just a little while. To restore the character's cool yet sexy atmosphere, I stepped into Black high heels, and actually wore White stockings on my legs, the texture of which was very obvious under the flash. For the hairstyle, I kept the iconic blunt bangs and double buns, and the deep blue long hair clung to my body soaked by rainwater, giving it an indescribable feeling.

The long rifle prop in my hand was much heavier than expected. To pose with tension, I tried single-leg squatting, half-kneeling, and a standing look-back. In the end, the photo with the best output effect was the low-angle single-leg forward extension action. This angle can stretch the leg lines to the limit, coupled with the front flash specially arranged by the photographer, the rain streaks hit in front of the lens forming trails of light spots, rendering the atmosphere of the rainy night to the extreme. The mirror reflection on the ground was also an excellent prop, using the water's reflection to form a symmetrical composition, instantly doubling the visual impact.

Throughout the process, everyone was racing against the bad weather. The rainwater hitting the face greatly affected the makeup and styling, but for that sense of combat we wanted to present, we repeatedly adjusted postures and light-and-shadow. The moment the trench coat fluttered in the wind and rain was just captured by the lens, and that messy yet exquisite sense of shattering completely struck me. As a coser, conveying the character's disdain and pride through body language and gaze was the core pursuit of this shoot. Without complex special effects, the texture of the frame relied entirely on real scenes, backlighting, and splashes. Every single picture of this convention photoshoot tried to break through my own expressiveness, whether it was the fit of the costume or the use of props, a lot of energy was invested. When finally seeing the final photos, I felt all the hard work was worth it.
