The convention photos from Bilibili World have finally been edited! The character I cosplayed at the event this time was Florence from Girls' Frontline (Girls' Frontline: Exilium). It actually took quite a while before posting this set because the ambient lighting during those few days at Bilibili World was rather tricky. To faithfully present both the garment fabric textures and fine makeup details, I went back and forth communicating various retouching directions with the photographer.

First, let's talk about the overall look. Florence's mint-blue wig is wonderfully fluffy; I deliberately teased the crown and twin tails high to evoke that airy, animated hair texture seen in anime, accented with subtle white hair accessories at the back so the visual wouldn't feel monotonous. I gave the wig tips a subtle curl as well, ensuring they held a lovely sense of dynamic sway before the lens.

Regarding the outfit, I selected an off-the-shoulder light blue dress crafted from a silky fabric that catches the light with a gentle pearlescent sheen. Printed with light-blue heart motifs and cut with a loose, relaxed fit, it naturally exudes an at-home languid comfort. The most eye-catching accessory was the black leather choker around my neck. To enrich character dimension, I hooked a pair of slim blue-framed glasses onto the choker as a decorative accent—truly a soulful highlight. For the lower half, I opted for negative space by going completely barefoot. Initially I contemplated whether to wear socks, but considering the set featured sandy ground, stepping barefoot onto the sand paired with this languid dress fit the overall mood far better.

The set design was equally delightful: golden sand spread across the floor, discarded tires, and an army-green industrial metal crate. Sitting on the crate while holding a small orange sand shovel created a wonderful visual chemistry among all these props.

I invested plenty of thought into the makeup too. To match the character's eye color, I wore bright blue contact lenses. The eye makeup emphasized eyelashes and eyeliner, with subtle blending along the lower eyelids to give the gaze an innocent yet crafty and mischievous edge. Foot traffic at the convention was massive, and the harsh Bilibili World stage lights often meant finding my own angles alongside the photographer to frame out background distractions. Perched atop that metal crate, the cold, rigid touch of the tin felt very authentic. To keep my posture from stiffening, I experimented with different poses—crossing my legs while sitting on the crate playing with the shovel, dropping onto one knee while curling my fingers into playful cat claws, or pulling the glasses on my choker while glancing into the camera—all aimed at expressing Florence's distinct personality. A sizable crowd gathered to watch while shooting, which triggered a bit of social anxiety at first, but once fully immersed in the character with props in hand, I relaxed completely.

Cosplaying a Girls' Frontline character at Bilibili World brought encounters with so many warm, passionate fans, and everyone's love for the character resonated deeply with me. From makeup and hair to prop preparations, the entire journey was exhausting, yet seeing the final images made every bit of effort worth it. I hope this convention set brings everyone a refreshingly unique impression.
