[Furina Cosplay] Vivid Moments Under the Deep Blue Dress and Translucent Glass Curtain Wall

Putting on this dress interwoven with deep blue and bright blue, carefully donning the silver-white wig with delicate gradient layers and the iconic cowlick, and finally snapping shut that huge aqua gem at the waist, the temperament belonging to the character instantly surged within me. This set of photos was shot inside a modern building with huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The weather was fantastic, and the outdoor greenery and bright natural light streaming through the glass set a translucent and refreshing tone for the entire frame.

Regarding this costume, the most attractive part to me is its asymmetrical design. The neckline and waist of the coat feature aqua blue patchwork and golden trim, and the hem is crafted with a highly unique swallowtail cut. Combined with the blue ribbons, it creates exceptionally fluid lines whether standing or spinning. The metallic-textured feather accessories on the cuffs are also a finishing touch, gleaming subtly, and when paired with black and white mismatched gloves, they form an interesting contrast and echo in color, adding a touch of European elegance and theatricality.

For the makeup and hair styling, to fit the character's vibe, the eye makeup specially incorporated reddish-brown colored contact lenses, making the gaze look both clear and infused with a touch of mystery and playfulness. The blush and lip color utilized soft tones to reduce the heaviness brought by the overall deep blue outfit, making the overall style appear lighter. Managing the wig on my head actually required quite a bit of thought, especially that iconic cowlick. To maintain its support in front of the lens, I applied a styling treatment at the roots so that its shape remains stable even when I perform large-scale movements, jump, or get blown by the wind to maintain the optimal 2D appearance.

For the lower body, it was paired with black shorts and a pair of shiny black super-high platform loafers featuring prominent metal cross-buckle details, matched with pure white calf-length socks. These shoes are actually extremely heavy and heavily test one's sense of balance. When shooting poses with one leg raised or standing on one foot, it really requires engaging core strength to control the center of gravity. For instance, in the dynamic snapshot of the single-leg-lift standing pose, I had to keep my body posture stretched while ensuring the shoe didn't slip off and the action didn't stiffen. Usually, I had to repeatedly adjust several times for a single sequence, but the photographer captured it precisely, and the final dynamic effect looks very natural.

During the shooting process, my state of mind was highly concentrated. Because the material of the entire outfit is very stiff and possesses a strong texture, I needed to deliberately exaggerate the range of my physical movements to support the three-dimensional feel of the garment. Especially in poses like spinning in place or stretching my arms forward, it was not only a restoration of the character's expression but also meant to allow the coat's swallowtail and the aqua blue skirt tail behind the belt to fly up driven by the wind and motion, increasing the tension and ethereal quality of the frame.

I absolutely love the soft contrast brought by the natural light in this set of photos. The green shrubs and trees outside the glass curtain wall provide a background filled with vitality for the frame. Natural light streams in from the side and diagonally above, forming delicate luster and three-dimensional shadows on the deep blue coat, while the white socks and hand highlights in turn brighten the entire character. This entire cosplay showcase didn't deliberately manufacture an overly magnificent or heavy atmosphere, but instead captured a vivid state of casual afternoon relaxation and confident dynamism. I hope the final feeling presented can let everyone experience that unique elegance and liveliness inherent to the character.
