This shoot was chosen in a building complex with continuous white arches. The lines of the architecture itself and the background of the blue sky and water surface just happen to set off the lightweight feel of this outfit. The styling you all see has pure white and lake blue as its main color tones; this high-contrast cool color tone photographs exceptionally well under outdoor natural light. The costume has many layers: the upper body is a strapless top with blue piping, and the small black accessory on the chest increases the visual center of gravity of the overall styling. The skirt hem took the most effort: the outer layer is fluffy multi-layered white ruffles, the inner layer is a bright cyan pleated short skirt, and a huge semi-translucent trailing long gauze is connected behind the waist. To present this multi-layered ethereal feeling in photos, it was necessary to constantly spin and toss the skirt hem during the shoot, which is actually quite physical work. Matching the length of the skirt, white stockings were chosen for the lower body, with blue piping and ruffle details at the sock cuffs, and white platform Mary Jane shoes for the shoes, which overall lengthens the leg lines and echoes the color tone of the skirt. The wig part was also a challenge; the upward-curved styling on top of the head required a large amount of hairspray and invisible bobby pins to secure, and the droplet-like hair accessories on both sides easily fell off when walking, so a tiny bit of clear tape was used to assist. To match the expression of this character in Genshin Impact, I wore sea-blue contact lenses, and the eye makeup intentionally deepened the contours, making the eyes look more expressive under the sunlight. In terms of shooting poses, the posture in the second picture of standing on one leg and lifting it backward actually requires very high balance; it requires tightening the core while keeping the upper body relaxed and the fingertips elegant. The texture of the white gloves is quite slippery, and to prevent the skirt hem from being blown messy by the wind, the arm range must also be controlled well. The geometric shadows cast by the sunlight on the ground are also great compositional elements; you can try more high- and low-angle overhead or upward shots to increase the spatial depth. A lot of effort was put into the details for the accuracy and texture of this cosplay, hoping to express that lively yet slightly proud feeling of the Hydro Archon.
