Cosplaying Furina from Genshin Impact this time, the number of garment layers and the sheer complexity of her accessories truly left a lasting impression on me. The entire ensemble is anchored in deep navy tones, paired with white shorts and golden embroidered borders for striking visual contrast. The tailcoat swallowtail hem and the gradient blue interior lining, in particular, sway with rich visual depth under bright sunlight. The deep blue top hat accented with delicate gold chains and that iconic curved ahoge hair lock took hours of meticulous styling and hairspray setting just to sustain that flawless arc before the lens.
The shoot day was blessed with radiant sunshine; the pure white European architectural backdrop formed a delightfully crisp, refreshing harmony with the blue-and-white attire. In my hand, I held that blue-and-gold rapier: the intricate craftsmanship of the hilt and the gradient finish on the blade felt exceptionally solid and carried noticeable weight, demanding solid wrist control during swings. To channel the flamboyant, theatrical presence of the Water Goddess, I adopted expansive, sweeping postures in my choreography. In the first shot with arms crossed over my chest, I slightly tilted my chin to project her haughty pride; in the second shot with one hand on my hip and the rapier resting against the ground, the composition highlighted the tailored lines of the suit and leg proportions—especially the black thigh garter, which provided a sharp, alluring visual contrast against the pale fabric.
The third leaping shot from behind tested both my physical endurance and the photographer's shutter timing to the limit. To freeze that swirling, billowing arc of the coat tails, I jumped repeatedly over numerous takes, maintaining graceful physical extension while keeping the prop poised and the hemline flowing—leaving the hamstrings on the back of my thighs quite sore by the wrap. Because the tailored coat and hat carried considerable heft, every landing required resetting the headpieces to ensure everything remained perfectly aligned. The footwear featured platform soles as well, leaving my soles aching on the stone pavements after hours of standing, yet seeing the final images confirmed every ounce of sweat was worthwhile.
For makeup, to accentuate the character's distinct design, I wore high-saturation blue contact lenses paired with reddish-toned eyeshadow blending to sharpen the gaze, rounded off with vintage red lips. The focus was preserving three-dimensional facial contours so that features wouldn't wash out under harsh direct light. The blue gradient locks of the wig also required constant brushing between sets to prevent tangling.
