[Sandrone Cosplay] Genshin Impact Fatui Marionette: Presented via Forced Perspective Posing - Image 2

Sandrone Cosplay from Genshin Impact—the production cycle for this outfit was quite long, particularly for the backless design and the black-and-white color-blocking cuts. Ruffles on the apron and a large black bow paired with a custom blonde updo wig showed prominent surface luster under studio top lights. This shoot primarily aimed to recreate interactive moments within the lore, especially the dramatic tension with the other character (referred to as Damselette cosplay below) in an anime setting.

The perspective-hugging pose in the frame is a very common technique in cosplay photography. To ensure the visual effect balanced safety and aesthetics during filming, we repeatedly adjusted angles for standing positions and hand placements. The white bandages wrapped around the arms are decorative elements from the character design, but under dynamic stretching, they naturally conformed to muscle contours. I'd like to clarify for review that all appearing crew members and models are adults, with strict safety measures in place throughout the shoot—commonly known as forced perspective posing—containing no inappropriate elements. To prevent misinterpretation, I intentionally added heart stickers in post-production to cover face-to-face interaction details.

As a cosplay photography work, I chose to faithfully recreate the side braid and hairpiece placement from the original design. The white ruffled headpiece used a stiffer interfacing fabric to hold its shape, while the large black bow was made from matte, draped velvet so it wouldn't look messy even during complex embrace poses. The outfit was custom-made for this theme; because it required a wide range of motion, the back harness system was designed with an adjustable buckle structure. Dual-light setup was used on shoot day with a high main light position, intending to create a slightly cool, solemn vibe while maintaining the character's serene elegance.

Working with my partner went smoother than expected. Although forced perspective posing was used, we adjusted positions many times to ensure photographic realism of physical placement while eliminating any angle that might lead to visual misunderstanding. This outfit takes up a lot of storage space due to its large skirt and numerous folded layers; hanger support was needed during breaks to prevent creasing. Blonde hair easily creates reflections under lights, so significant post-production effort went into unifying skin and hair tones to soften harsh highlights.

In post-processing, I focused on restoring fabric texture and light-shadow relationships. Genshin Impact designs feature rich details—like gold chains at the collar and black-and-gold inner linings—all requiring clear presentation. Looking at the touching hand positions in this photo, as a layered presentation, they are placed naturally without improper contact, a point thoroughly confirmed with the photographer and partner beforehand to ensure the image conveys authentic forced perspective posing.

Beyond core character design, I used camera language to highlight a subtle contrast between dangerous undertones and remaining elegance. My partner's gradient hair and white feather accessories balanced the visual composition, keeping colors centered around black, white, and gold. Soft high-key lighting was preferred to reduce harsh shadows on the black dress, helping black and gold fabrics display a high-end satin texture. Utilizing a white wall background was intentional to let clean negative space focus viewer attention entirely on styling and mutual interactions.

This photo set took several weeks from prep to final edits. Choosing this shot as the preview was mainly due to its natural dynamic effect. The white arm bandages used a cotton-blend material with slight elasticity during prop making, preventing over-tightening during stretching so movement wasn't restricted. Since Genshin Impact as an IP circulates widely offline with high accuracy standards, I conducted thorough self-checks early on. Indoor shooting avoided environmental light variables, eliminating ambient reflections on the black dress. The final product includes forced perspective posing disclosures and watermark notices, hoping everyone enjoys our work under a safe aesthetic guidance.
