This time, I challenged myself with a purple-and-pink gradient formal gown look for Ganyu, putting a lot of thought into everything from trimming the wig to the details of the makeup. The wig is hand-dyed with a blue-green gradient, and the curves perfectly frame my face. The Qilin horns on my head feature a pearlescent finish, which creates color-shifting effects under different lighting, and I'm quite satisfied with the level of accuracy. For the outfit, I intentionally chose a glossy satin fabric. Combined with layered ruffles and sheer sleeves, it makes the entire look appear more ethereal, while still retaining the elegant temperament unique to Ganyu as a Liyue character. To create a dreamy atmosphere during the shoot, we used a large number of blue-toned floral arrangements and sheer drapes as the foreground. Additionally, the lighting team added cool tones from a side-backlight angle, allowing the skin texture and the layers of the outfit to be clearly presented. Actually, the skirt of this dress is very puffy, so both sitting and lying poses required repeated adjustments to the angle to prevent wrinkles from looking messy. The pose where I supported myself with one hand on the ground really tested my core strength. The lace choker on my neck is handmade with beads, and I re-wove it three times just to make it fit my neck circumference perfectly. Overall, this cosplay creation—from the initial concept to the final color grading—was kept as close as possible to the character's original Liyue essence. I hope everyone can feel that vibe of Genshin Impact Ganyu dancing gracefully on stage.
