[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Genshin Impact: Dreamy Photoshoot of Kokomi Bunny Suit

The focal point of this Kokomi bunny suit photoshoot was capturing the layered fabric textures and the dreamy ambiance of shifting light and shadow. The pink-and-blue gradient wig required extensive styling, and I deliberately chose purple colored contacts to match the overall cool palette. The costume features countless intricate details: the large blue-and-purple gradient bow on the bodice needed careful adjusting to achieve an elegant drape, while the multi-tiered white lace skirt wrinkles easily and took considerable time to steam and shape before shooting. The choker necklace and white gloves also served as high-fidelity accessories, instilling an immediate sense of immersion once put on.

Throughout the session, we paid close attention to lighting angles—especially the highlights along the thigh-high White stockings, which required precise light positioning to flatter the leg lines evenly. This outfit was paired with white chunky-heel platform Mary Jane shoes; though wearing them for hours left my feet slightly sore, pairing them with the stockings worked wonders to elongate leg proportions. To align with the Fontaine aquatic theme mentioned in the post, the set was adorned with sheer blue tulle, white Roman pillars, angel sculptures, and numerous white candles, harmonizing with cool-blue sheer drapery in the background for a cohesive, dreamy mood.

During posing, we tried holding an umbrella; however, because the rim featured translucent purple scalloped lace that fluttered easily in the breeze, capturing the right frame challenged both camera focus tracking and pose stability. For seated setups on the white round pedestal or high stool, adjusting crossed-leg angles deepened visual perspective while showcasing the skirt's fluffiness and bodily curves. The ACG Cosplayer's expressive performance was fantastic, with sharp, captivating eye contact. As the photographer, I preserved the natural flutter of hair strands during editing and added subtle glowing accents along the edges of the skirt and drapery to evoke the translucency of Hydro elements—creating the visual illusion of an ornamental fish transforming into a bunny swimming underwater.

Post-processing focused primarily on harmonizing the purple, blue, and white tones, gently suppressing overly bright whites in the background to ensure the subject stood out. The tiny bead strands and pearl appliques across the outfit caught rim light with a breathtaking shimmer, which we painstakingly captured by adjusting angles on set. Wearing this bunny suit felt surprisingly lightweight, allowing easy skirt movement. Although it was a lengthy shoot, bringing this adorable, whimsical atmosphere to fruition made the entire experience immensely joyful and well worth documenting.
