This photoshoot brought together Columbina and Sandrone from Genshin Impact for a collaborative project. We selected a vintage palace interior that harmonized effortlessly with the opulent textures of their attire. The garments featured intricate construction—Columbina's tiered skirts and feather plumes alongside Sandrone's crisscrossing harness straps and ornate neckline trims demanded considerable time to prep and style. To ensure pristine results, my partner, our photographer, and I spent a full week aligning on mood, poses, and compositional framing, refining everything from picture frames on chair backs to floral placements on the floor.
On set, we simulated their canonical personalities through lighting and elevation shifts across the vintage sofa to emphasize their interplay. The seated posture in Image 3 was chosen to highlight the strap details while shifting visual focus to elongated leg lines; subtle glimpses of skin paired with strappy tension proved immensely photogenic. Meanwhile, the chin-tilt gesture required precise touch—commanding yet organic—necessitating multiple resets. Posing as a duo meant that a slight shift by either of us disrupted framing, but patient micro-adjustments in gaze and posture helped capture effortless chemistry. In post-production, we prioritized fabric weaves and gentle chiaroscuro over excessive airbrushing, balancing realism with an otherworldly presence. This Court-style cosplay stands as both a showcase of meticulous craftsmanship and an evocative reinterpretation of these Genshin Impact figures.
