[Angels of Delusion Cosplay] Sparkling Starlight of Zenless Zone Zero, The Trio Finally Assembles

From the awe we felt when first seeing the "Angels of Delusion" character designs to bringing them from the game world of Zenless Zone Zero into a real-world photo studio today, this photo set carries immense heart and soul from the three of us. For a successful cosplay, expression and body language are the soul, while accurate makeup, hair, and props form the foundation. These photos freeze-frame not merely styling, but our total dedication to this character ensemble.

During the preparation stage, studying character concept art became our daily homework. Aria cosplay's splash of mint-green long hair paired with pink-and-white striped wrist guards and arm sleeves, along with her backpack featuring little pink wings, serves as an absolute visual highlight of cuteness. To capture her airy lightness, we repeatedly adjusted the wig's strand flow and volume, striving to present a playful yet energetic state before the camera. Sunna cosplay's twintails feature a striking pink-to-cyan gradient; the large eye motifs on her skirt hem and orange star decorations tested the tailor's patchwork craftsmanship to the limit, while black outline detailing paired with white knee-high boots gave the whole look vibrant color-contrast energy. Meanwhile, Nangong Yu cosplay's black-and-pink short hair, accented by an eye-catching light-green halo and bow hairpiece, combined with black fluffy sleeves and over-the-knee boots, perfectly blended a subtle cool edge with soft maidenly grace.

On the day of our scheduled studio shoot, we loaded up a full trunk of costumes, makeup, and props, kicking off a chaotic "transformation" process. Each cosplayer needed at least an hour and a half for hair and makeup; the subtle light refractions of light green, pink, and black-pink hair colors under studio lights required continuous on-set fine-tuning. The hardest part of a three-person group cosplay lies in positioning and interaction—creating fun chemistry inside a high-key illuminated, seamless white studio backdrop rather than standing stiffly in a row. We experimented with various poses: from intimate shoulder-pats mimicking mobile phone selfies to playful moments of tugging each other's wrist guards and pretending to shove. That jump photo of us suspended in mid-air took over a dozen jumps to capture; though physically exhausting, all fatigue vanished when we browsed through camera shots packed with dynamic tension.

We chose a clean, high-key white studio shoot style for this session. Such a clean backdrop demands ultra-high accuracy in costume colors while easily exposing flaws in wigs or outfits. Fortunately, the photographer's soft lighting rendered our white dresses, black pleated skirts, and highly saturated cyan, orange, and pink decorations with exceptional texture. In post-processing, we intentionally preserved skin textures and hair strand details, aiming for a harmony of realism and atmosphere. Looking back, whether it was the staggered positioning before the lens or the seemingly casual selfie with a pink phone, behind every photo lay our careful polishing of character nuances.
